I think we all need a vacation from all this doing nothing productive. It's stressful.

Movie night? I'll do popcorn, Harry can't pick the movie, Barry has to do food runs.

Hey. So. How are you feeling? Up to like, talking? On here is fine.

I may not have super powers but I will defend my med bay's honor with whatever tools necessary. I wield a mean needle!

He has daggers and sneakiness, but my money's still on you.

Thank you Cisco.

But I'm still going to put up rules about hanky panky in the lab.

You know how to torture people?

Well, sort of yes? I'm a bio-engineer with standard medical treatment training. Technically to keep someone alive you also have to know what can kill them.

Not that I would ever do that!

So. You're a healer? Forgive me. I only understand about half of those words. I'm just making sure I'm on the right track.

Yeah, she's a healer. But also think wizard of healing. She researches new ways to figure out how people work and fix them. She doesn't need deity-intervention to heal anyone, just her own knowledge and skills. That help a little?

She's also the goodest of the good and the best at what she does, so the torture thing is just because she knows how the body works.

Interesting. I'm not entirely sure how healing magics works. Or any magic, really. Still getting a grip on being able to do it myself. But I'm pretty sure healing isn't really in the realm of the arcane.

But she said she wields a needle. What healing benefit could come from such an implement?

I meant more like the "wizards have to have book learning spells" kind of wizard than actual magic. Mostly the actual body does most of the healing. In our world, we don't have instant-heal spells. Barry heals fast because superpowers, but the rest of us when we get hit, we just have to heal from it the slow way. But she uses science and knowledge to figure out how to help it along and such.

The needles - for stitching wounds back up? You guys do that, right? But also to inject things that she makes via science that help the body do different things. Fight off disease or be immune to it or take blood out to test for different properties. Think our version of alchemy and healing potions that she uses needles to inject if she needs to.

I might be confusing more than helping. Come hang out at the lab and I'll show you some books and video to do a better job than I'm doing, if you want.

Huh. Usually we just need to sleep. Even when we can't heal before that, one good rest, and we're usually all right.

Gods. Only in truly desperate situations. Even just a basic healing potion does far more than sewing someone like a shirt does. Plus you don't have to worry about secondary infections.

I'm just growing increasingly concerned about all of your heal and well-being. If you're really so fragile and can't just drink all of your health tonics without fussing about with doing more damage to yourselves in order to take them.

Yeah, that doesn't do anything for us. If we break bones, we usually feel worse the day after, not better, and it'll take months for them to heal up, unless you're Barry.

Okay, well imagine you don't have healing potions and you have our world. We have to come up with creative solutions and Caitlin's the expert at figuring out how best to do that.

Yeah but the healing stuff you have access to, along with the magic, so do your bad guys. So if you didn't have it, neither would they. All the strategies would change and you'd figure out how to work with what you have. That's what we do.

I guess you're right there. I mean, those of us that don't know how to use magic find other ways to adapt. It would be something similar.

Right, we get by. You would have too, but your world had it's own deal happening. And here all the rules are different since you've got people from a million different places who can all do different things.
