If any of those who have found themselves without their abilities/powers would like to help myself and other scientist try and understand what is going on then please could you let me or them know so we can arrange for some tests.

[ STAR LABS PEOPLE ]

Please could one of you tell me what he means here because I do not trust him to tell me everything.

[ WILL ]
I seem to have accidentally gotten into a conversation with someone I shouldn't have. I think maybe you should take this thing away from me when I'm sleep deprived.

Well. At least he seems like a relatively polite psycho.

Which probably makes him even more dangerous.

Could you bring Newton to the lab and walk home with me, please?

Usually. The level-headed ones tend to be more dangerous as mad scientists.

Of course. I'll have to wrestle him into his leash, but we'll be right there as soon as he stops trying to play tug of war.

Exactly.

You could always carry him if he won't stop playing tug of war with it.

Oh, Alice.

Thawne is referring to the Particle Accelerator. Barry, Cisco and I all got our powers from it. Eobard built a Particle Accelerator and Cisco and I worked on the project. Unlimited clean energy was the goal. Unfortunately, Eobard had built it to fail. His goal was to create metahumans, people with abilities. I discovered that the system was flawed and eventually realized it was designed to explode. That was when I was fired from the project.

Eobard is a time traveler who got stuck in our time. He wanted to go back to his own time, but he needed the Flash to do it. So he orchestrated Barry getting his powers, which had apparently been an accident in the original timeline, with a deliberate Particle Accelerator explosion. And, in the process, he ruined a great many lives.

He does that a lot.

That's the basics of it.

I should know better than to engage.

He built it flawed so that it would explode. That's awful. I was then about to say didn't he care that innocent people would be hurt/killed and then I realised that he probably did and didn't care.

I mean objectively I can understand wanting to get back to where you belong but I would never do anything that would endanger others. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Okay. So. Full disclosure? You mention science and I get all excited. It's kind of the bread and butter of the family name. However like...do you do coffee? Can we sit down and talk first, because you're talking testing -- and we're going to assume that means blood work -- which means samples and like that is like doing trust falls with -- well you know how science people can be.

I'm all for helping get to the bottom of this wonkadoo mess -- not that, you know, being in dinoland isn't just about every kind of wonky-awesome -- Awenky? -- Wonksome -- there is -- I really am not a fan of not having my powersJust...we gotta What about Bob this thing -- Baby steps. Build the trust. Share in the joys of waffles so I know no bad things will come from test, you know? Because seriously the last thing this place needs is a T-Rex that can do wall crawling and we're kind of smack dab in the middle of science that could go terribly wrong.

How glad are you about the ice cream though? Personally I think the rocky road supplies are seriously going to suffer during this current mini-crisis.

That was an awful lot of words. I think I know how people feel now when my best friend and I have one of our science conversations because it took a lot for me to follow all of that.

But yes, we can do coffee and talk before I do any tests and we don't have to do any if you don't feel safe or don't feel you can trust me.

Yeah. Sorry. We kind of do that. It's a family thing. I'm thinking the science thing is also a part of it, but further testing is required.

Good. Coffee and talking. It's the foundation of all lasting relationships really. Right up there with names. Which, mine's May, friend's call me Mayday.

I can help.

I mean, I'm probably a good person to do that. You have enough experience with my blood and stuff.

I was hoping you'd say that.

It sounds weird but yes, I'm familiar with your blood and stuff so it would be a good starting point to try and get to the bottom of all of this.
