So. Dinosaurs. Let's just all agree we're squealing on the inside, at least a little bit yes?

Also. Halloween. Maybe not the best thing to put into an equation with dinosaurs, but hey. I'm not going to argue considering it's the best day of the year after Thanksgiving. As per usual, which okay, maybe a lot of you don't know, I'll be doing the traditional handing out of cupcakes instead of candy things -- because who doesn't like cupcakes? I'm also taking special requests if people would like their own half dozens, and I'm more than happy to volunteer taking some of the younger people out to do the traditional knock on doors, get candy, thing. This is especially true if you've never been trick-or-treating before.

Aaaand because I tend to be a bit of a failwhale when I'm not distracted by extinct creatures and whole new kinds of sciences -- and because this place has provided me with a bunch of both -- Hi everyone. I'm May, my friends call me Mayday, and my favorite dinosaur is an Apatosaurus -- because Littlefoot. Though, Duckie was pretty sweet too. Kind of hard to say...

Okay, good. Both of my daughters and my son are here. I'm just missing Gwen and my adopted Jedi.

Also. I'm squeeing on the outside and your sister tells me you're going to a super responsible Halloween party.

Like we could leave you alone to your own devices. Plus, c'mon. Dinosaurs. And a theme park. It's like the best kind of Disney world.

I promise to keep all shenanigans away from things with sharp teeth and be home by a reasonable time. I figure it won't take me that long to read a book anyway. That's what people do at parties, yeah? Even if they're ones in a place full of dinosaurs? Also, how're you stocked for the trick or treaters? Do you need help with anything?

You just followed me here for the dinosaurs. It's okay. You can admit it.

That's all I ask. No spider-children with missing limbs. I assume that's what people do, yeah. I can't remember the last party I was invited to. I have candy. I have loads of candy. I'll be fine. You don't have to worry about me.

We both know I'd follow you anywhere, with or without dinosaurs, so you hush. I however will not deny that they are a decided check in the plus column.

Saying 'you don't need to worry about me'...it's something that our last name makes it hard to believe. Besides, worrying is what we do. I imagine especially you being parents in a place where your children are all here and there are dinosaurs. Maybe this is why you go gray when you get older? Don't worry, you go at it like Mr. Richards, it's a distinguished look.

I'll drop off some waffle-cakes for you anyway, make sure you keep your energy up so things don't go too crazy.

And I think it's a family trait, not getting invited to parties. Maybe April's finally going to break the curse though and we'll be able to start pow-wowing with the local pachycephalosaurus.

the cupcakes are usually pretty awesome. and stop volunteering to do wholesome things and come to our very wholesome and responsible party instead.

glad you're here.

The cupcakes are the secret to my wholesomeness, you know. So it can't really be helped and I'm coming to the party, but I'm bringing books.

Glad you're here too. Really glad.

april already asked the books, so they're cheating on you. we'll find you a notebook or something for the night, just a casual thing.

want me to speed you around for a better look at dinos up close so you don't have to web in?

My books are cheating on me?! I can't go to a party now Tommy. I'm sorry. I have to sit at home with a carton of ice cream....

...or yes. Dinosaurs. That. That's how you get over cheating books right?

My books are cheating on me with my Sister? I'm crushed. I can't believe it. I mean, maybe my anatomy and physiology textbook. I could see that. Darn horndog textbook. You should beat it up for me. I mean, especially if it's cheating with my Sister. Your Honor is at stake.

No. Well. Maybe? It's more likely I'll bring a camera and take pictures. But I might bring a journal to take notes in.

I don't bring books everywhere I go.

Okay Fine. I do. But I can't help it. It's like leaving you Puppy at home. Sometimes. Who leaves a puppy at home? Who? Nobody. It's impossible. It defies all known science.

I really like books

you leave the puppy behind when it might get chomped by a t-rex though.

Well. No. Legit. I would. But I can keep track of a book way easier.
