It seems that even without a specific focus with my work I still manage to lose all track of time when I'm in a lab. I'm sure I'm not the only scientist who has experienced this phenomenon. So I would like to ask my fellow scientists for tips they may have to help avoid this happening all the time.

Do you maybe want to go out for dinner instead? I suddenly realised what the time was and even if I leave the lab now it will still end up being really late before we eat if we cook something.

	That would explain it. You're used to having someone else there to pull you away or break your concentration so you realize how long you've been at it. You've just got to figure out how to adapt to not having things around to break your focus. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I am used to there being someone else there. I could just see if there's someone that wants to share my lab but that could bring a whole host of other problems with it. (Reply to this) (Parent)
