It was Percy's tone that managed to snap a little sense into Tary. It made him re-examine his words and see, exactly, where he had gone wrong with all of this. The other had told him something personal once. Something that Tary was sure was playing a role in the change of mood now, in the way that Percy seemed worried and upset. He hadn't meant anything by it. It was an innocent enough question, at least, in his opinion it had been. Now that he was actually thinking, however, he could see that he should've been more careful. "I do, yes." He admitted, letting go of the other. It seemed that, perhaps, they needed to slow down and have a conversation before things progressed.
"Percy..." He began, "I'm sorry. You've been understanding and good to me. I never meant to make you feel like you were rushing anything. I just..." He frowned a little as he tried to think of the best way to explain himself and his poor choice of words. "I don't want to disappoint you. I'm nervous. This is all new to me. I just... I want to know that its alright to be nervous. I trust you. I know I can ask you to pause or slow down and you will. I just want to hear it confirmed too."
