Percy couldn't help but pull back slightly, feeling cold inside, at Taryon's question. He knew that Tary didn't mean anything by it, but his own history with consent wasn't exactly the best. He sincerely hoped he hadn't done anything to make the other man think he wouldn't absolutely listen if he didn't want something. "Of course," he said, possibly a little sharply, "gods...I would never...you never have to do anything you don't want to do. You know that, right? I haven't made you feel obligated to do any of this, have I?" He had thought that Tary wanted this, but he worried now that he had overwhelmed him.
"I just thought," he said softly, "that you would want to be able to...spend time together...without anyone interrupting and making you uncomfortable. That's all. Nothing has to happen. I promise. What do you want, Tary? This is entirely about what you want."
