Vax hadn't meant to make things awkward, simply having followed his instincts and sense of relief, but he realized both in his sister's words and Keyleth's halting awkwardness that seemed momentarily more pronounced than it was normally that he had. God, they all had so much to talk about. And they couldn't very well recover with Vex walking away to go and drown her emotions in alcohol with Zahra and Kash.
"Come on, Stubby. Don't do that," Vax said, his voice a quiet plea as he watched his sister. He was reluctant to leave Percy's side, but in this moment, it was his sister that needed him more. And Percy had Keyleth with him right now. He could leave without feeling too bad about it. Standing, Vax followed Vex, settling a hand on her shoulder to try and pull her back to the group. "We've all got a lot to talk about, okay? Maybe we should hold off on the drinks for a bit."
With Vax's break away from the huddle crowded around Percy, Harry moved, shifting from the vigil he'd taken back away from the main assembly towards where Percy was, reaching out a tentative hand to touch his shoulder, the disquiet and disbelief in him needing the solid reassurance that he was alive, that he was fine. It was one thing with Hartley, when it was the oddity of the city that had brought him back in one piece, but this was something else entirely. Magic, prayer, the manifestation of deities... Harry had no idea how to reconcile that with all of his own ideas about reality.
But if Percy was alive, he wasn't going to question it.
"Hey, kid. Maybe try not to do that again?" Harry suggested, a strong hesitation in his form as he took another step forward. "Is it all right if I..." Harry asked, peering across at Percy and sparing a brief glance at Keyleth as she stood next to him, before pulling Percy into an embrace, resting a hand on the back of his head as he held him. "Please, don't do that again."
