Vax had felt his entire body flood with the Raven Queen's energy, frozen and locked in place, his sight stolen from him before a moment until the battle and feud for domination had settled, coalescing into the form of the Raven Queen at Percy's side. For all that Vax had hoped that she would aid them in this situation, this... This had been the very opposite of what he'd expected, her fully and very nearly corporeal as she had poured her energy into Percy. The touch as she receded was gentle, reassuring, in a way that Vax found surprising. It seemed there was still a lot that he had to learn.
As Percy breathed, Vax's own breath caught in his throat, his legs buckling for a moment as he gripped the side of the table to keep from crumbling in relief. He'd been so scared, to terrified that they weren't going to be able to get him back, that his worst fears were going to be fulfilled. But now... God, now, they could thankfully just breathe.
Staring down at Percy, it took a moment before it dawned on Vax that while he might be breathing now, Percy was still very much unconscious. His hands moved from the table where they had been holding him up to Percy's chest, pulling him up into a kiss as the warm glow of divine energy seeped into him, "Hey, handsome. Raise and shine."
