It wasn't really in Leonard Snart to be nervous. He'd never been the type. He'd had that beaten out of him by Lewis Snart years ago. He was always steady, like his hands, like his timing, like his tone of voice. So, naturally, he did his best to flat out ignore that slight uncomfortable feeling in the pit of his stomach as he made his way from the apartment he shared with Barry over to Pour Judgment. There were other bars in the city, obviously, but that was the closest to the apartments and more their speed. Even after all the mess with the Legends and the Time Masters it was always reassuring to know that much of Mick's tastes hadn't really changed once he'd shaken off more of Chronos.
So maybe it was less nervousness and a little more guilt that anything that made his stomach turn in ways he didn't feel very often. He'd felt it after leaving Mick behind and he felt it a little now for taking the choice to make a sacrifice away from him. But Len still had no regrets. The first time he'd left Mick he really had left him alone. With the intention to come back, of course, but alone all the same. This time he'd known he wasn't leaving him alone. Not with the team. Because for all Mick liked to say he didn't care about Sara, and Ray, and Jax and the whole rest of the team Len knew better. They both had started to care, really care and there was no turning back from that. So maybe Len had made the choice to leave Mick behind when he'd taken one for the team but he knew the rest of the team wouldn't. After all, he never did anything without some kind of plan in place. Even in the split seconds it had taken to make that decision.
Spotting Mick's burly form at the bar was easy enough but it was only when he saw him sitting there that Len realized just how much he'd already started to miss him. Even considering how much he cared about Barry there was always, always going to be a special place inside of him that was reserved for Mick Rory. And maybe sometimes he neglected that place more than he should but not this time. Definitely not after everything they'd been through in the last few months. Maybe he couldn't be there for his partner back in the real world but here, at least, he could work on making some amends.
Len plopped himself on the stool next to Mick without much more preamble and waved the bartender over (not Sara, he noticed, but maybe that was intentional until they'd had some time) and ordered himself a drink. Partly because he figured he'd probably need it but also because it announced his presence.
"Of all the gin joints in all the towns.." he trailed off, figuring that maybe Mick wouldn't appreciate his movie quotes as much in this context. "It's good to see you again, Mick." That felt like the more appropriate thing to say because it was the truth. It also was an opening for Mick to get off his chest whatever he needed to. To yell, or scream, or puch him. Whatever he needed honestly. Len knew Mick wouldn't really hurt him badly. Not now.
