Ginny felt like absolute rubbish. Two showers and a change of clothes, but she could swear she smelled the dank mattress from the holding cell on her somehow. Not to mention she hadn't really been exaggerating to Neville all that much about the state of those cots. Her back was killing her. Still though. She'd had worse nights. She didn't want to think about what was going to happen when Ron ratted her out to her parents. Or when Gwen found out. She wanted to bask a little in the pride she felt that she'd stood up for what she knew was right, and that they'd scared the bloody bastards enough to have them go out and arrest people over it.
It helped that she knew that Harry wouldn't be upset. Or at least, not too upset. She'd go over to his later and let him see for himself how fine she was so he didn't get all worried and protective. She knew he'd be right with her if his father wasn't head of the courts. And maybe it was just as bad that she was in a relationship with Lord Potter's son and had gotten arrested, but everyone had known the risks involved. This was bigger than all of them.
She hoped that Seamus wasn't too upset with Neville for getting himself arrested as well. She knew it wasn't easy, but it meant a lot that Neville had been there. It gave them a legitimacy that they wouldn't have had if it was just a bunch of commoners. Besides, he was released almost immediately, she assumed, so it couldn't have been that big of a deal.
All night in that dank cell and she'd barely had anything to eat. She was starved and her head hurt so she figured eating was probably a good idea. She pulled out some leftover takeaway from the fridge and set about reheating some of it, making sure there was enough in case Neville was hungry too.
