We will need to discuss the Potter situation sooner rather than later. Whatever the truth is of James Potter's level of involvement that fact that he is implicated at all makes the Potters unfit to lead the English Courts. I certainly would not trust the Quidditch player to take his father's place.

This weekend's luncheon will need to be rescheduled to either the middle of next week or the week after. Next weekend is Easter and as such no events will be scheduled then. I will also need to speak with a writer from the Prophet about yesterday's events before things get any more out of hand and they write an off handed piece about it all that somehow manages to paint the events in a decent light. Any meeting I had scheduled for Monday will need to be canceled and rescheduled and inform Orion that we will be meeting this evening whether he wants to or not.
Also, until further notice, I do not want either of you traveling alone. If you must leave the palace, ask a guard to escort you. There will be no exceptions to this. Even if you are just returning home for the evening, I want a guard present with you both at all times when outside of these walls. The three of us will also be having lunch together this afternoon to further review my schedule and see what my week holds and whether things can be put off or not. The coming days are going to be very busy.

I've tried to write this numerous times today. I have considered not writing at all. I know you don't need any more weighing on you than there already is. Multiple drafts of this were anger and sadness and frustration. Something that I cannot remove from any draft is the worry and the confusion. I am not one hundred percent certain on what is going on and I wish there could be more clarity. However, what I am certain of is why you need to run and what would have happened had they found you at home when they arrived. I understand the need to separate from us for our safety and your own, but I wish that wasn't true. I am worried about you. My confusion comes in the why and what happened. Please don't say I will understand when I am older as I am old enough to understand now. I just can't make sense of everything that is happening and I want to help. I will look after mum of course but is there any other way I can help. Anything I can do. I sense soon there will be a change in our standing and that there will be a lot of change for all of us.

This message comes to you with a heavy heart. While many of you saw the spectacle made by Sirius Black last night about his involvement with the attacks on the high nobility, another name has been revealed to us. Some have speculated, so we here at the palace will lay the rumors to rest. James Potter conspired with Sirius Black to attack his fellow members of the high noble houses. Our suspicions arose when his family was one of only two not to be harmed in any way. At this time we believe he and Black did not act alone, but other members of the Potter family were not involved.
A small group of Aurors were dispatched to the Potter residence last night, but it seems that James Potter had already fled the scene, leaving his wife and children with more questions than answers as suspicions fell onto them for his actions. They have, as of now, been released. However the future of the courts remains in question. For the time being, as King Orion Black has appointed me to act as the head of the English courts until a replacement has been named.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Sirius Black or James Potter, contact the palace guard or Aurors immediately. Do not attempt to approach them, as they are suspected to be armed and dangerous.

Mam was all worried about the attacks at first, and who might be attacked next, so she made Da bring everyone on the isle into the castle and I spent the entire day running the wards. The thing is, she hasn't let me go home yet, even after everyone else got to leave the castle.
I can literally see my cottage. I want to go home. At least the bitch twins my sisters are in their own rooms. But apparently I'm staying again.
