Something has happened. The Palace was locked down earlier today and then I was told to go home and Dad said that Rook had been hurt, but he wouldn't give me any details and they won't let me in to see him. And then I heard one of the gardeners say that someone had been killed.

Are you alright? I mean, I know you're not because you're in the infirmary and no one will tell me what happened, but are you...How bad is it? And don't lie to me just because you don't want me to panic because I'm already panicked so that ship has bloody sailed.

We have had many owls and messages of concern since yesterday afternoon and while we took a moment of silence to deal with the events that took place yesterday, we can no longer remain quiet.
Yesterday afternoon at just a little past noon, an intruder made it onto the grounds of the palace and as myself and my family were sitting down to enjoy lunch together, an attempt was made on Prince Regulus' life. Thankfully, the ill fated attempt did not succeed and Prince Regulus is fine and quite well thanks in a very large part to the quick actions of the guard. It is unfortunate though that this incident cost one person their life but such an ill fated decision like that of attacking our crowned prince could have ended no other way.
We placed the palace on lockdown after the incident but once the guards gave the all clear everyone was sent home for the afternoon and the few guards, one in particular who prevented an even larger tragedy from happening then just the loss of life of the would be assassin were kept in the infirmary here over night and were released this morning once the healers gave the all clear. It is because of the quick thinking of the guards and because of their even quicker reactions that no one was seriously hurt or worse. We cannot thank our guards enough for their actions and their bravery and there will never be words enough to explain what their actions and bravery mean to us.
At this time there are still many details that are either unclear or unknown to us and we ask that while the investigation continues that all questions be held until a more formal report can be made on the incident.

It stands as a testament to the Guards that the Royal family was unharmed. I couldn't be more proud to be among them given the self-sacrifice they are willing to make for the greater good.

I know I'd usually share the clue in this weekend's Prophet cryptic that's giving me trouble, but I barely got half the puzzle done. If it's not one thing, it's another.
[Draco & Goyle]As far as I know, no changes are required to schedules in light of recent activities. I'll let you gentlemen know if advice changes. Mr Goyle, if you'd like to make any alterations or additions to arrangements, I'm obviously even more happy than usual to oblige.
