WHO: Dirk Cresswell and Marlene McKinnon
WHAT: After Christmas visiting
WHEN: December 28th, evening
WHERE: Marlene's house
Dirk bid adieu to his parents and Paige, wrapped his new Christmas scarf around his neck, and with a loud POP! disappeared from the kitchen. He'd Apparated enough times now to be used to the darkness and uncomfortable pressing sensation, but he wasn't quite prepared for the change in temperature. Freezing wind whipped at Dirk's face, snow clung to his coat and hat. He pulled his scarf up to cover his nose. "Bloody hell," he cursed under his breath. It was cold!
Quickly he made his way from the alley to the McKinnons' townhouse four blocks away, all the while wishing there were someplace closer he could Apparate to without making a scene. But alas! There was no such place. The Muggles would surely notice his appearance anywhere else on the street.
He knocked on the front door.
