Whatever this was, Alec didn't want to question it. He had at first, but all of that suspicion had completely vanished. The only thing he was concerned about was Max and how badly he needed her. There were other people around, others who had paired off, but Alec hadn't spared them a second's thought beyond the impulse to take Max and go somewhere more private. The only thing that mattered was keeping her close. It was hard to process anything at all beyond how desperately he needed to get even closer to her. There was too much clothing between them, he couldn't get his hands on enough of her.
His breath was ragged as she pulled away and he leaned in so that his forehead rested against hers. Alec groaned, the noise an impatient one as he tried to formulate which place was closer - his or hers. How was he even supposed to figure that kind of crap out when the feel of Max so close to him was so intoxicating? He didn't answer immediately and instead, Alec pressed a fierce, impatient kiss to her lips. He didn't care where they went, he'd settle for the closest closet if he got him what he wanted - which was Max. But he didn't know this place well enough to be able to just come up with a decent alternative plan.
When he finally broke the kiss, Alec took in a breath. "Yours," he breathed out before kissing her again because he just couldn't seem to stop himself. Maybe he had always felt like this and maybe this place just finally brought it out of him. Or maybe it was some side effect of their DNA when they were dropped into some alien world. It didn't really matter. What mattered was Max. "Just- now," Alec said when he pulled away again.
