Nowhere fast. Powell estimated that he would probably go through half of his ammunition finding weak spots and killing just one of the Spinosaurs. And being that there were at least several and perhaps more it would have been a damn foolish idea to try.
He smirked a little in spite of everything at her remark concerning her posterior and what amounted to permission in touching it in further life or death situations. While he was all about flirting, apparently even when his life was potentially on the line, he did not typically make it a habit to grope women. "I'll keep that in mind." Whatever Mandie made or did not make of that comment would be up to her for now.
"I know... I know." Her words were cold but he had come to the same conclusion himself already. The best he could do is try to give some of their fellow passengers a much quicker death but that would pretty much mean their own end. Particularly if any of those meat eaters could climb or reach up high enough. "I just..." He trailed off. There was nothing to say and they were apparently on the same wavelength.
"Sure." It was probably morbid to eat with what was going on but they had to keep their strength up.
