Amy here with my 4 kiddos. I knew I was gonna end up with 4 anyway, so I figured why bother wait. Y'all can feel free to catch up ;) I'm one of the mods, the graphic/code monkey. My AIM is Nimbuschick and my email is the same @gmail. Here are my pups.

Marcus Belby One of two sharing the same given name, Marcus is a werewolf, awkward, and even moreso around girls. He's a writer and a potions assistant. His history of how he was bitten and the family he doesn't speak to is all in his bio. He works for his Uncle Damocles now. He's friendly and sweet and awkward and loyal. I already know how he'll be with the OTHER Marcus. Any other back-story takers?

Charlie Weasley Charlie likes beer, sports, and big animals. Right now he is on a Minor League Quidditch team and working for Gringotts caring for the dragons. He misses Romania but more than anything he enjoys being close to his family again.

Meg Jones Meg is the cook at the Cauldron and a single Mom. She had an American Misadventure that left her abandoned by her muggle boyfriend when he found out she was a witch during the war. Meg is loud, outgoing, blunt, and will give you the What-For if you deserve it. She was a Hufflepuff.

Sela Capper Sela is heavily mentally scarred from the war but you wouldn't know it. Hell, she doesn't know it. You'll have to read her bio for the juicy details. She was popular in school, a Slytherin. Her story is that she spent the war in France, but that is not true. Draco and a few other living souls know the truth of it. Eventually she'll crack and the truth will out.

brb, changing name field to 'the other marcus!'

i don't know that marcus would be terribly familiar with meg--at least from school. he could get familiar with her easily enough if she cooks at the cauldron. i can't imagine marcus being a terribly capable cook himself. sela, i'm sure he has a passing remembrance of, though he was very much quidditch-quidditch-quidditch in school and could well have been completely beneath her. now charlie, on the other hand, if he's interested in a career in pro quidditch has some serious interaction possibilities.

Meg's daughter hangs around the Leaky during the more decent working hours sometimes. How does Marcus feel about children who ask a lot of questions?

Charlie is totally looking to move up in Quidditch, he's just afraid he waited too long to come back to it.

marcus at his heart is little more than a precocious child, so he’d probably adore her. eventually. at first she’d annoy the hell out of him. but soon enough he’d be treating her like an intellectual equal (which, clearly—she would be).

what are your thoughts on that? my inner marcus wants to say that quidditch has no age limit as long as you’re more talented than the other guys out there—and marcus is very, very curious about charlie weasley playing semi-pro, clearly the guy was a legend at hogwarts. if he’s talented, that would be good for the league—and anything that’s good for the british and irish quidditch league is good for the department of magical games and sports—so ambitious little marcus would not be totally against suggesting said step-up to charlie. it obviously would be a slower kind of arc. he would have to go through tryouts and whatnot.

Oh yeah. And for wizards 33 is a spring chicken! Charlie just needs to get disciplined enough to get back into it. That could be fun, having Marcus get Charlie back on his game.

Any plot ideas with Hermione?

Charlie loves Magical creatures, and also he's all for pushing girls towards his little brothers as his own love life is non-existent.

Sela would probably not have interacted with her much. I can't see Meg and Hermione ever running in the same circles. Marcus was temporarily in the Slug Club with Hermione, until he told Slughorn that he wasn't in contact with his famous relative.

I can see Hermione not really understanding Charlie... since he seems to be such a physical person (magical creatures, quidditch, etc.) and she's so much in her head. But I think their interactions would be awesome, especially if he catches her after a fight with Ron where she's all upset.
