Monday, the manufacturer that supplies Dervish and Banges with gag items, will do a little bit of corporate espionage. A spy will break into Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes and tamper with the mother journal, causing it to compel the writer to spew truth in written form.

Because the journals work on a Protean charm, everyone who has a journal, when they open it to write, will be compelled to write what is on their mind with absolutely no capability for falsehood.
