Daphne hadn't slept for more than two hours the night before. Verity was back now, but she had a whole new set of worries concerning her friend, and she found that sleep didn't come easy. She hadn't seen Dean's owl until after she woke up. There was a part of her that wanted to ignore it, because she already felt sure she knew what was coming. But Daphne had written him back anyway, and decided to simply deal with what was to come. She was mentally and physically exhausted, and she knew that it would help if this issue was resolved.
She arrived at Dean's a little bit earlier than she had said she would, dressed very comfortably in a long-sleeved shirt, yoga pants, and trainers. She just couldn't bring herself to dress up. Daphne wore makeup, but it was clear she was tired. As she knocked on the door, she was thinking about what she would do when she got back to the Woods'. She had spent the few days before Verity disappeared mentally preparing herself for what she thought was to come with Dean, so she surprisingly wasn't worried.
