WHO: Neville, Hannah, Lucy, and GRAN
WHAT: Gran meets Hannah and Lucy
WHEN: Thursday Night
WHERE: Gran's House

Neville had initially planned to have Gran over to his flat, to keep it on his terms, but he couldn't pass up a home-cooked meal and he didn't want to have the added pressure of cooking for her while trying to earn her approval. So, after he got over his reluctance to meet on her turf, he told Hannah about the plans and got dressed in a light sweater Gran ad bought him for Christmas. Maybe it was sucking up, but he thought that it couldn't hurt to be polite.

He sat at the counter in the kitchen, waiting for Hannah to be ready, drinking a glass of chocolate milk for comfort. He really needed Gran to come around and approve of Hannah. He would be miserable if she stayed stubborn on the issue.

"Is that what you're worried about? An attack at our wedding? 'Cause if Harry ever forgives me for quitting there'll be three Aurors and Hermione there."

"The idea of an attack concerns me, but - planning the wedding is the only thing I'm worried about with the wedding. I never even imagined a wedding with more than a dozen or more people there. I - don't know what to do. I don't even know what I should ask about in figuring it out." Hannah finally admitted, her voice extremely quiet as she finally out and said what had been plaguing her mind since numbers had come up. "And I don't mean just the wedding, I mean the reception too. It's a lot."

"Maybe you could ask Hermione? I mean... I know you're closer to Ginny but Hermione doesn't have a baby and so maybe she's not so busy." Neville wasn't going to dare suggest she ask Gran for help. No way.

"She doesn't have a baby, but doesn't she do a lot of political stuff? And - I'm not really sure I've really had a lot of contact with her since school." It seemed rather imposing to try and get someone she hadn't done a lot with socially to go through all of the effort of planning her wedding.

"Huh... well how about your step-mum, could she be helpful?" Neville wasn't sure he was able to cut back on who he invited to the wedding. He had a lot of family and friends, even if it didn't always feel like it.

"Probably? But she can't help with any aspects if I want to do them in the wizarding world. She's muggle." Not to mention the fact that, while she would've done what she could to help, Hannah's stepmum hadn't married or moved in until long after Hannah was gone. She didn't really feel too close to the woman - it was more a respect and appreciation that her stepmum made her dad happy.

"This... is just why I feel overwhelmed. I'm not quite sure how to do all of this and I fell out of contact with - a lot of people. I wasn't really in the wizarding world when I was with Tyler and then after he died... I was busy with Lucy." Hannah shrugged, continuing to stare at the ceiling. She couldn't remember the last time she had even had a girl's night out. "If I could think of someone readily, believe me, I would've. I just don't know quite what to do... and I feel like I'm being a disappointment, but - I just don't know."

"Well... we can plan a lot together. And uh... Gran can help," he said, his voice going quiet. "I don't know what else to do here. I mean... we could cut the cousins... just make it Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, Luna, Gran, Aberforth... a few of your friends. Your Dad..."

"I want it to be the wedding you want, too. I want you to be happy. I just - don't think I'm going to be able to figure it out soon." Or maybe she was too tired to tackle it sooner rather than later? She wasn't sure.

Hannah had been trying to ignore the whole matter since it came up. Now, she already felt emotionally exhausted and didn't want to really get into it. "We can plan it, Gran can help, I can ask Hermione - I just don't know what to do right now and I don't want to work at figuring it out right now either. I'm tired and, really, what is marriage going to change? It's just something legal. If we have kids, it would be after we get married, but having another child while starting a business probably isn't smart."

"I just want to promise to be with you forever in front of everyone we care about," Neville said. "I mean... it won't change us, but it's a big gesture."

He sighed. "I feel like I'm making your life more complicated..."

"I'm a single mum with a Death Eater after me. I've not had a good social life in a long time. The last break I took for myself, no one else about, was a run to Baxter's Bakery a month or two ago. I didn't exactly come into this with low baggage, Neville. It was already complicated."

"I feel rather at fault for it, too. I'm the sort not approved of. I don't have a proper social life nor people to help me with this. It's rather pathetic to be having a pity party."

"I don't really have a proper social life either... I just have war stories, I suppose. I mean... I haven't seen Ron or Harry since I quit and Luna... God it's been forever."

"Well... you should try to see Ron or Harry. Or something." No, it wasn't a pity party. It finally hit Hannah that it was guilt. Her pity was directed toward Neville being entangled with her. "I don't want to drag you down. You know what? You should have a bloke's night out. I bet everyone could use a bit of a break like that."

"Well... if I go out, I want you to spend some time with Ginny. You know... to be safe. I mean, we can't have constant guards, in case they never catch Winchester, but you know-- I could teach you some self defense!" Neville got the idea suddenly. "Wandless self defense!"

"I can go stay at the Potter's, with Lucy, when you go out... assuming they don't mind." And Hannah couldn't imagine they would. The place was big enough that she and Lucy could go over and simply stay in a room overnight if the blokes stayed out into the wee hours of the morning.

"And - okay. I suppose. Perhaps after we figure out the wedding planning?" Because, frankly, Hannah didn't want to try and figure out a time to squeeze it into before that was all settled.

"You and Ginny can have a girls' night. With or without wedding plans."

Neville figured that maybe it was time he owl Harry and try and talk to him. He knew that Harry was notoriously stubborn-- he had seen enough of the Ron fights over the years to know it.

"And... yeah... I mean... okay after the wedding planning. I just want you to feel safe."
