WHO: Ginny Potter, Harry Potter, Hannah Abbott-Andrews, Hermione Weasley, Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Lizzie Andrews (NPC), and Teddy Lupin (NPC) WHEN: July 1, 2004 WHERE: The Potter Compound RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete SUMMARY: Ron wanted to use the pool, Hannah and Lizzie temporarily moved in, Hermione came with Ron, Teddy sort of lives there, Harry and Ginny own the house. No one knows how Neville came to be there, but there is a pool party regardless!
"Teddy Lupin do NOT jump off of that!" Ginny shouted, her mouth twitching slightly as she struggled not to smile while the six year old gave a dramatic groan and flung himself back towards the shallow end of the pool and the stairs that lead to the water. Ever since he had wandered around for a week with a dragons tail that he claimed he just didn't know how to turn back Ginny had become a bit wary about letting him do as he pleased. She had charmed the entire pool so that he couldn't get into it that weekend before, afraid that Teddy would turn himself into a fish or a mermaid or a shark and have to spend a week floating around while he worked out how to fix himself back into a little boy.
There was also the fact that as a little boy he didn't know how to swim yet, and she was pretty sure that would carry true no matter what aquatic creature he tried to become. Fish were small enough for the bright plastic floaties she had put on his arms to be ineffective.
With Teddy eased into the water and splashing around Ginny took a moment to breath easier. The entire escapade to the pool had happened with fifteen minutes with Ron arriving to declare he wanted to go swimming. Hermione naturally had come with him, and as their houseguests Ginny had urged Hannah to bring Lizzie and relax. Teddy, however, had ran directly upstairs at the mention of the pool (which he had been forbidden to go near on his visits), changed into his swimming trunks, and ran back downstairs to announce that he had to go or he might die.
Ginny had given in and found the floaties Harry had insisted they buy (along with waterguns, and a small pile of other things that he had told Ginny you "had to have" for a pool), changed into her own bikini and went about enjoying her afternoon with some of her best friends and one of her favourite people.
