George Weasley had spent much of the last fortnight feeling like an ass, but none of that compared to how he felt right now. Sitting on the edge of Parvati's bed, naked as could be, and watching the sunrise through her bedroom window, he felt like the biggest asshole in the universe. He felt as though he'd used her, manipulated both of their desires until they'd given in. True, a logical person might say 'she started it!' or 'she didn't say no,' but those rationalizations only made him feel even worse.
If she was going to trust him, they needed to build that before getting back into bed again, and that had been something he was going to stick to. Until last night, anyway.
As far as the previous night, the sex had maybe been the best of his life. Or maybe it had just felt that way. While he was in the middle of it, everything had felt right, that two lost pieces had finally clicked back together and set the universe back on its normal spin. After, as they had fallen asleep without speaking, and Parvati had laid her head over his heart, he'd realized that he'd made a mistake in coming over. He was playing games with her, and that wasn't fair.
When he continued to wake up throughout the night, unable to really sink into dreaming, he'd toyed with the notion of leaving, but that would only send them right back to where they started. Instead, he'd given up on sleep at around five in the morning and spent the next hour and a half sitting on Parvati's bed, head in his hands, listening to the sound of her breathing and the quiet sounds of Padma moving around the flat, getting ready for her day. God, he hoped their attempts at being quiet had worked, he'd hate having to explain to Parvati's twin why exactly he was there. And why he was naked. He didn't like the idea of getting poisoned.
Around six-thirty, the sun poked his head over the horizon and George watched it, waiting for Parvati to wake.
