The relief was evident in Noah's entire demeanor. His wide-eyed expression was replaced with a chagrined sort of smile as he nodded. Rising to his feet, he half-hopped, half-jumped over the spare pieces and tools. "It wasn't hard. I just... knew what to do," he said, not wanting to say it was necessarily easy, but it definitely hadn't challenged him to any real extreme.
By now he'd made his way to where Gabriel stood and he paused, head tilting back so he could peer up at the man. He held the robot alien out for him to take. "It needs batteries," he stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "Then it'll turn on."
He fell silent for a heartbeat, wanting his dad to get a good look at what he'd done, but couldn't help but ask within moments, "Can I help pick out the next one?"
