welcome to miami

WHAT'S UP?

this is the first of three posts that will welcome your characters into the game! we're so excited to start writing with all of you. please feel free to use this post to do all manners and styles of roleplaying. if you wanna do threads? go for it. if you want to do dialogue-only posts? go for it! take this as seriously or as lazily as you want.

this particular ic/ooc can be used for all interactions that take place prior to boarding the ferry at 6 PM. we have provided some basic headers for various places, but you're more than welcome to make your own, or if you'd prefer the uniformity of the mod look, nudge us and we'll slap something up real quick. you're also welcome to reply to any number of headers more than once! just have fun with it, k.

we will be posting part two tomorrow (friday!), but if you haven't wrapped up everything you'd like to do by then you're welcome to continue keeping at it for as long as you'd like.

just as a lil reminder, tales are able to recognize tales based on sight alone! if you see them, you know who they are! ;*

	Lulu is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and right on time. She's wearing an outfit that appears to have been stolen from a Malibu Barbie doll and also toting a red parasol with white polka dots that looks a little like a toadstool mushroom. 	Lavender would eye the whole outfit and parasol with wide-eyed curiosity, but not disgust. Like, it's weird, but obviously it's not the WEIRDEST thing about today. ANd that IS Alice, soo... "So! Lulu blinks once, slowly, putting her neon blue fake eyelashes on display. She loves the upbeat energy, but the question has her befuddled, and it's taking the cogs of her mind a second to catch up.

"I've simply never seen it," she says, which is true, because that movie came out a full fifty years before she was born. She has some opinions about the Tim Burton ones, which were hitting it big right as she was going through her true believer phase, but she hasn't been asked so she doesn't offer them.

lavender hasn't read alice in wonderland, so her only frame of reference is the disney movie and like, half the weird movie where she can't even remember who played alice-- just that johnny depp was in it. so she just shrugs her shoulders, as if to say fair enough. after all, sometimes she wishes she never read what happened after her own memories stopped, and disney's bullshit desensitized the hell out of her story, soooo.

she invites herself to sit down. "have you looked into any of your adaptations, or whatever? i don't think i'd be able to keep myself away from all of them."

"You must have so many," Lulu commiserates. "I did watch one movie about myself, but nothing much in it was right." And complaining about this fact had landed her in therapy, thanks to her helicopter dads and their concerns she was 'malsocialized'. She briefly becomes distracted by daydreaming about telling them that she's moved to an island and made a dozen new friends already.

	Lulu quickly checks her own outfit up and down to figure out what exactly she has 'going on', but she looks like she looks every day of her life, and it doesn't seem unusual to her.
