It was becoming glaringly apparent that Storm wasn't the only teenager here with anger problems, and in a weird way, it was kind of nice. It was kind of nice to sit there, not feel particularly angry himself for once but be able to relate to her frustration. The sense of being trapped, helpless. Maybe even outcast a little. Betrayed as of late. He knew those feelings well, so he stayed quiet and simply listened to her without judgment or interruption until her little rant was finished and she snatched the cigarette back. Or maybe it was just the alcohol that was giving him a calmer heavy feeling that was actually pretty damn relaxing.
"Least you met the one that was okay." he offered, a clumsy gesture of comfort. Connolly had it worse than him, Storm realized now. She was stuck as a human, stuck within Shadow Falls boundaries and forced to be branded with some sort of weird chip. He was a monster but at least he could roam freely, and he couldn't be claimed. Couldn't be tracked. Privately, he was grateful for the freedom for a moment before finishing off the last contents of his beer and then idly tossing it. Glass shattered against wood and Storm casually reached for another.
"Yeah, dropped out." Not a fun topic so he switched. "We're closer in age than I thought but somehow I don't think you're gonna grow anymore. Sorry about that, Midget." Storm teased, slurping his beer and slumping against the wall casually. "So, you got that chip thing in your neck? Did it hurt?" Emboldened by his steadily deadening senses, the boy reached out gently to touch the side of her neck. "Here?"
