Who: Melody Winter & Yazmine Black
When: Sunday early afternoon
Where: Yazzy's place
What: Chocolate and comfort
Rating: Low

It really did take Melody a moment to gather up all the chocolate Avery had supplied her with. Even though she was eating it more or less non stop, there was still quite an amount left of it. She was pretty sure that Avery snuck it into her room when she wasn't there or something, to make it look like an endless supply of chocolate. And she was eternally grateful for that. Grabbing the teddy bear that had come with the first chocolate she squeezed it to her chest for a moment, then grabbed the bag with the chocolate to head to Yazmine's place.

It seemed like they both could use their share of chocolate and she was willing to share with a friend anytime. Besides she could use the company as well, she wasn't used to being alone much and she didn't want to either. It only gave her time and opportunity to think and in the end her thoughts would circle around the same questions again and again without reaching a conclusion.

She arrived at Yazmine's place after a quick walk, hoping that the chocolate wouldn't melt inside her bag since it was still pretty hot outside. Walking up to her door she rang the bell, taking a deep breath as she shifted her bag on her shoulder.

Melody returned the smile when Yazmine opened the door. She was a little nervous since she had never met her in person before, but they had talked a lot over the notebooks and she seemed like a great person. And she really wanted to help her somehow, so she hadn't hesitated in her offer of coming over.

Making sure the bag was secure on her shoulder she reached out so she could hug Yazzy gently. "Hey." she said in return as she pulled back, holding up the bag that was almost ripping at the seams it was so full.

"I think this should last for the evening?" she said with a soft giggle, tilting her head lightly. She had been devouring chocolate like nothing else those last few days to be honest. It was her comfort and food source number one. Well, number two for comfort, but still good.

Yazmine couldn't thank Melody enough for coming over, it meant a lot that she had even wanted to. But then again there were times where they had sort of planned to hang out which always fell through. So it was nice to finally meet her. Melody had always been such a sweetheart anyway, so Yazmine was happy to be in her company.

Her gaze fell onto the bag of chocolate as she wrapped her arms around Melody to return the hug. "Oh my god, it's so much!" She said with a giggle as she pulled away, though she was still focusing on the bag. Yazmine wanted to get her hands on it so bad to see what sort of chocolate was in it. It was probably a little ridiculous but chocolate always seemed to make her feel better.

"I think so, or at least I hope. It better." This was going to be good. Girl time plus chocolate? It couldn't get any better with this, plus it would serve as a way to get her mind off of things for at least a little bit. Yazmine moved out of the way so that Melody could walk inside. She didn't want to keep her waiting out in the heat, that would be rude. "You can come in!"

Melody smiled a little brighter and nodded. "Told you I'd bring everything I could find. And I've kind of been living off chocolate for the last..two weeks or so, so I'm always well stocked." She pushed the bag into Yazmine's hands after noticing her gaze to the bag with a soft giggle. "It's all different kinds of chocolate, too."

She laughed again, nodding. "I think it should. And if not we can always buy some more?" There sure were stores still open to resupply, she was sure about that. But right now she was just happy to be here and in such nice company and not alone and moping somewhere. Because when she was alone, that was pretty much all she did lately, and she was a little sick of that.

She stepped inside with a smile, closing the door behind herself. "So, how are you holding up? Feeling a little better?" she asked softly, playing a little with the hem of her shirt.

"Well, you definitely were not lying when you said that. This is perfect!" Yazmine replied, the tone to her voice had changed some what. Now she was so excited she could barely stand still. Once she had taken the bag, she opened it slowly and looked down to all of the chocolate-y goodness that was just waiting to be eaten by the two. "Awesome, we should probably get started and spill about our feelings. Just a warning though, I might end up crying."

Ugh. So much chocolate. Yazmine was going to drown herself in it if she wasn't careful, but at this point in time she didn't care. Besides could you even die from chocolate? Hell no. Unless you were allergic in which she definitely was not. "That's true, I think that I will buy more anyway just to stock up. It looks like I'll be needing it for a while." Yazmine definitely needed this, the company of someone else. Just to talk with someone would do wonders.

She moved to the side as Melody stepped in, digging around in the bag for a moment to grab a piece of chocolate. "Eh, I mean I'm doing okay. Just confused as hell, I didn't know any of this was going on. I just wish that Mika would have been able to tell me." Yazmine stated with a sigh. "It's just scary. I don't know what to do because it's two women instead of one. It's so fucking overwhelming but I offered to help the two women."

Melody smiled happily at Yazmine's enthusiasm about the chocolate. That alone had been worth the trip already. And it only strengthened her belief that chocolate was the answer to everything. Or well, at least almost everything. Certainly to everything feeling-related. "That's okay, I have lots of tissues too. Because I might just as well." She crunched up her nose in a cute grimace, followed by a soft sigh. Truth to be told, she didn't want to cry anymore, which was why she was so desperately trying to distract herself.

"Mhm, me too." she agreed softly. She'd be needing chocolate for a long while she feared, and not just because she was pregnant. It did help a little after all. And she was glad for everything that soothed her a bit.

She pursed her lips thoughtfully once she had stepped inside, tilting her head. "I'm sure he's just as confused and shocked as you are. And that he wanted to tell you, too." she said softly after a while. "He couldn't have expected to...well, to be used for two women." She couldn't imagine how hard it must be for both Mika and Yazzy to deal with it and she wanted to help as good as she could, even though there probably wasn't much she really could do except the chocolate. She looped her arm through the other girl's, smiling at her. "You're a really good person for offering, I'm sure not anyone would've done that. And in the end, does it really matter if it's one or two? I mean, it's just a number, right? One would've been just as shocking, wouldn't?"

Any time Yazmine had ever been down the first thing she thought about was either ice cream or chocolate, so it was definitely a good thing that Melody had popped up in the notebook when she did. Needless to say she was now a life saver. Okay, maybe that was a little too dramatic but Melody coming over had saved Yazmine from being depressed to a certain degree. "I have tissues somewhere around here, so we shouldn't even worry about that unless we actually do start crying. Then we can figure out where I put them." She said as a small giggle escaped her lips. Ugh, they both needed this. Yazmine knew that something was going on with Melody from reading the notebook, but she honestly didn't want to pry. If Melody wanted to talk about it then Yazmine figured she would open up and say something. But she would definitely be there for Melody at any time, she considered her to be a friend after all.

Nodding, she simply reached out to give Melody the bag just in case she wanted some of the chocolate too. Yazmine wasn't about to be greedy. Melody had brought it over so she would share. She unwrapped the piece of candy and took a small bite. "Oh my god.." She mumbled, her gaze finally settling on Melody's face for a moment. "It's so good."

Her reactions were always the same to chocolate, it was probably either really sad or hilarious to watch given the circumstances. "I bet, I mean I can't imagine what he is going through at the moment. But I'll be there for him no matter what. I'm not going anywhere. I want to help out in any way that I can." Yazmine sighed. All of this hit so fucking hard and then the situation with Mika's great-grandfather being a Vampire, it was just too much to take in all at once. "We just started dating, so it's so weird for me to suddenly hear that he's going to be a father. At least he didn't have sex with the two women, though. That would have made it worse." She didn't even want to think about that. Needless to say, it could have been so much worse and Yazmine could only hope that everything would be some what of a smooth ride.

"I'm not going to be a bitch about it, I want to help. I do love kids so I'm not going to be the girlfriend who shuns the women just because my boyfriend's sperm ended up getting them pregnant. If Mika is going to do the right thing then I want to do the right thing as well. I'm going to be there for all three of them." It was true, if she didn't handle this in the right way then things could turn to shit extremely fast. This was going to be a test of responsibility in a way that she had never dealt with before, but Yazmine could handle it. "It is just a number, I think just seeing that it's two women instead of one is what shocked me the most."

"Well, until you find your tissues we still have mine to tide us over!" Melody said with a soft laugh, following Yazmine deeper into her home, taking a quick look around. It looked comfy and cozy and distinctly like she had imagined Yazzy. She was still feeling a little out of it, but she wouldn't let that interfere. She was here to cheer the other woman up, not the other way around!

She took the bag with a smile, reaching inside for a smile candybar, unrapping it as she walked to what she assumed was Yazmine's living room. She couldn't help but laugh softly at her expression when she tasted the chocolate. It looked too much like her own when she ate the delicious candy and she mirrored it when she bit down on her chocolate bar, letting out a soft sound of appreciation. "Oh god, it is good." she said after a moment of chewing and swallowing.

She listened quietly to Yazmine talking, nibbling on her bottom lip thoughtfully. "Even if you just started dating, you care for each other, right? And that's all you need to make it through." She had always believed in this and she still did, even with Judah gone. She had never blamed him for leaving and she never would. She still believed he hadn't gone out of his own free will, hadn't left her because he wanted to. It still hurt, though, no matter how much she tried to push it out of her thoughts.

Reaching out she took Yazzy's hand, squeezing it lightly. "The kids will be blessed having a cool aunt like you." she said after a moment, smiling gently at the other woman. "I'm really not good at giving advice, but I know that you'll pull through this. You're both strong." That much she knew from talking to the both of them on various occasions. She was a little jealous of that feat, to be honest.

Yazmine didn't have a problem with Melody exploring a little bit of the house, for once she didn't have her things thrown all over the place so she was extremely proud of how it looked at the moment. Though, she knew that once Melody left that within a day clothes would be everywhere once more. It was a never ending cycle really. "That we do! Maybe we won't need the tissues, though. Who knows." Finally after a moment of standing by the door, Yazmine decided to follow Melody through the house and in to the living room.

The house wasn't too big but it was enough for Yazmine, after all she lived there alone with her three cats. But it did have a guest bedroom and she was hoping to find a room mate somewhere down the line to where she wouldn't be so utterly alone all the time, it needed to be put to good use. Yazmine noticed the expression that appeared on Melody's face while eating a piece of the chocolate and shook her head, a smile gracing her lips. "It is! I could live off of chocolate, I swear." Truth be told, any other time Yazmine would have probably been stocked up with chocolate but she hadn't been to the store in a few days so she was beginning to go crazy without it, especially now since things seemed to have exploded with the baby situation.

With a soft sigh, she moved a hand up to move a strand of hair away from her face. It was a tough situation to be in, but Yazmine would come out of it a stronger person and maybe it would bring her closer to Mika. They would learn a lot about each other after all in this. "We do, I care for him a lot which is why I offered to help. I know this is going to be extremely hard on him, but if he has people there to help then it will take some what of a load off of him." She couldn't imagine how Mika felt right now, it had to have been as much of a shock for him as it was for her, if not more.

Upon feeling Melody take her hand, she gave off a small smile and squeezed hers in returned. "I guess so, I just hope I can do my little part in all of this. I want to be there for everyone." This was going to be a lot of pressure on Yazmine, but she still believed that she could do this and maintain a job as well. They wouldn't need her all of the time, anyway. Plus there were others that wanted to help, as well. "What you've said so far has been amazing and it's helping a little bit. So thank you. I'm trying to be strong for Mika's sake as well as Zora and Karen, even if I don't know the two women very well at all."

Melody wasn't too sure if they really would get by without tissues, but she clearly hoped they would. After all she was here to cheer Yazmine up, not to cry her eyes out on her. She was determined not to cry. She looked over shoulder, smiling when the other woman followed her. She felt a little nosy just walking around in her place, but she really was curious. And it was really nice, too! Clean and comfy with a distinct air of home that made her feel really comfortable.

"To be honest, I think I've been living off chocolate mostly for the last week or so." she admitted with a small smile, a light blush creeping up her cheeks. It was one of those things that at least made her...well, not happy, but it comforted her for a short moment. The classic comfort food. "Avery is my official chocolate supplier." she added, smiling a little brighter at that. She couldn't even begin to express how thankful she was for having the vampire around.

She tugged Yazzy to the couch, slipping out of her shoes so they could both sit on it, pulling her legs under her body. "Mika has a lot of friends here and they'll all help him out. Even my parents want to help him for what he did for them and our house. A lot of people here really, really like him. I don't think he even realizes that."

Melody smiled at her friend and nodded. "I know you can do it. Even letting them know that you'll be there for them will already help them a lot!" Having people tell her that made a lot of things a lot easier for her to bear. Knowing that she was not alone in this, that there were people by her side. Pursing her lips she took the bag and just turned it upside down so it spilled all its contents on the small couch table. Now that was better. Turning to Yazmine again she smiled. "I don't know Zora all that well, but Karen is a really sweet and great girl."

It honestly wasn't a problem for Melody to make herself at home in a sense. There were times when Yazmine would freely roam inside of someone else's house just because she felt comfortable and wanted to look around. There was no harm in that at all. "I'm not sure that I could live off chocolate that long without getting sick. I mean, I know there's times where I could do it for a few days but I don't think it could go on for a week or more." She stated with a giggle upon noticing the shade of red that Melody's cheeks had turned. Yazmine knew how well chocolate could comfort someone, especially a woman so she definitely understood. "Aw, that's nice of her. I have no idea who Avery is but that's a very nice thing to do."

The next thing she knew, Yazmine was being tugged over to the couch so she quickly sat down to pull her knees up to her chest while her arms wrapped around her legs. "He's not the drunk that everyone thinks he is. Yes, he drinks quite a bit but that doesn't make him a horrible person. Mika's a great guy and I love being around him, he just makes me happy. It's hard to explain. I just see a side of him that not a lot of people have seen." He had been such a kind person to her since she had arrived in Shadow Falls. Mika was the first one to really hang out with her and he had picked her up from the park the day she had been bitten and took care of her, so Yazmine was forever grateful to have Mika in her life. She cared for him so much. "I don't think he realizes it either, but I wish that he would. And I think that people need to go easy on him now that he's going to be a father. He can do this, I know he can. People need to have a little faith in Mika."

Yazmine returned the smile with a small one of her own and tilted her head slightly, listening as Melody spoke. "I know that both Zora and Karen already have other people that want to help out, but I feel like I need to do my part as well as the girlfriend of the children's father. Mika can't do all of this alone anyway, so I'm going to be there for all three of them plus the kids." She couldn't just sit back and let all of this happen and not help, that wasn't how she had been raised. And she would be very hands on in all of this. "I will even help you if you need it, so don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything." She replied with a nod, watching as all of the candy hit the table. There was so much that Yazmine just wanted to dive in to it. "I talked to Karen once before all of this and she seems like a genuinely sweet girl, and so does Zora. I'm glad that I know her sister though so that it doesn't make things awkward."

"I have an extra stomach for chocolate and sweets." Melody said with a small grin because seriously, there was never a time when she couldn't eat that stuff. "I ate a whole chocolate pie with Lukas once. Though after that I couldn't see chocolate for a while. Two days or so." she laughed quietly. It was nice to talk about girly things like that and she was sure that every guy, except for Luks, she told that would've laughed at her or stared. "Avery's a vampire and my best friend. She's a photographer, too. And one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. She's great, really." She laughed again, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "I do sound like I wanna advertise her or something.." she muttered.

"He is a great guy! He's compassionate and kind, even though he can be a little..uh..outragious when he's drunk. But he's still a sweet guy with a big heart." She agreed completely with Yazmine on that. She hadn't seen Mika all that often, but he had offered to help her and her parents immediately after their house had burned down. And that was what had convinced her, despite his drunk ravings and craziness that he was a good person. "Well, we have to show him then! And I know he'll be a great father! I bet he'll spoil the kids rotten." she chuckled, but she glanced down, her hand over her own stomach, reaching for another piece of chocolate with her free hand, trying not to think about Judah and what a great dad he would have been.

"That's so sweet of you to say. Just that alone makes it a little easier, you know? Knowing that there are people who care enough to offer." She finally looked at Yazzy again, having herself and her expression back under control.

"A whole pie? That's crazy, I might could eat half of a pie but never a whole one. Usually the chocolate used in pies is way too rich for me anyway. I can maybe eat a few bites but that's it." Yazmine replied with a frown. She would love to be able to eat a whole damn pie without becoming utterly sick from it. "Two days isn't that bad!" Her attention was solely focused on Melody as she spoke about Avery. The only thing she knew about the girl was that she was also one of Jax's friends and that's it. "Well from what you've said so far she seems like a very sweet woman, and she must me awesome if she's a photographer. I wish that I could have talent like that. I love looking at pictures, but I just hate that I can't photograph things properly." It was a little embarrassing to actually admit, but Yazmine was pretty clumsy when it came to cameras. "Nah, you don't. You're just trying to tell me a little bit about your friend and there's nothing wrong with that."

She couldn't help but smile as Melody spoke about Mika. See, even she had seen some of the kindness that he had to offer! The good outweighed the bad in Yazmine's opinion and drinking was just some what of a bad habit that she thought he could break if he tried hard enough. "Outrageous isn't even the word to describe Mika while drunk. I haven't seen him super wasted, but I've seen him some what liquored up and he is funny. I just wish that he wouldn't do it so much." With a sigh, she glanced down at her knees for a moment and nodded. "I'm still embarrassed about the text that he sent out that everyone ended up receiving. Now everyone knows me as sugartits." That was by far the worst name ever, though she was thankful that since the text no one had called her by that. "He probably will spoil the kids rotten. I think that's normal to do, though! Some what, at least." A frown decorated her lips as she watched Melody's hand move over her own stomach. She knew something was going on and it was killing her to not know.

"I mean it, I will help so please if you need it in any way just call or text me. Whatever. It doesn't matter. Plus, it will also give me a reason to go baby shopping. I've been looking at clothes for Raya and it's crazy. I get so into it."

"Well, I ate one half, Lukas ate the other!" Melody clarified with a smile, remembering that day vividly. "We called it our food baby." She snickered softly, shaking her head at that. "You should've seen the waitres' face when we ordered a whole pie! Though the pies at Daisy's really are the best!" She nodded at the words about Avery's talent eagerly. "She made me a mobile with pictures she has taken for my birthday and it's really beautiful, she has an eye for that. I could never do it. Which is why I'm rather painting than photographing. It takes longer, but it's easier."

She couldn't help but laugh softly when Yazmine mentioned sad text. "My dad got it too and he was so shocked at getting a half naked picture of Mika. But don't worry about that, everyone has silly nicknames, right? And everyone knows Mika. People probably already forgot about it!" Melody certainly hadn't thought about it until Yazzy had mentioned it again.

She smiled faintly when the other girl repeated her offer, nodding slowly. "That really means a lot. And I'd love to go baby shopping with you. Though I think that by the time I'm due I'll have a whole wardrobe knitted by my mom already." she joked halfheartedly, then sighed softly. "It feels like lately all I do is pile my crap on people." she muttered softly, stumbling lightly over the semi-curse, not really used to using it. "And I came to cheer you up, not to whine about my own problems.."

"Food baby! That's cute." Yazmine giggled, leaning back in to the couch more to try to get a bit more comfortable. "I've never been to Daisy's before but I always hear people talking about how they have the best food and stuff. I'll have to try it one day." Ugh. She had been in town for several months now and still didn't know where things were, but then again Yazmine didn't really venture out much. She was more of a homebody anyway and loved to do things around the house. Normally she worked and either hung out at Mika's or came home, it was simple and easy to find her if someone needed her. "That sounds awesome. I'm crafty and artsy, but I could never do something like that. I can draw a little bit though if that makes any difference."

The text. That stupid fucking text, not that it wasn't funny but the man definitely didn't need to be using the phone when he had been drinking. "Oh god, your dad got the text too? I'm so sorry! That makes it all the more embarrassing now. Everyone and their parents have now seen Mika half naked. But doesn't he walk around town drunk like that too? So it's not really that different, right?" Yeah, Yazmine was rambling. That whole situation made her nervous as it is and she still didn't know how to handle it. The only way she semi-knew how to was to laugh it off. "I don't want sugartits as a nickname." She muttered to herself, sticking her bottom lip out in a pout.

Really, Yazmine wanted to help Melody a lot. She was such a sweet girl with a lovely personality and she could use all the help she could get, so it wasn't a problem at all. "Baby shopping sounds like so much fun. We should definitely go one day when we both have some free time." She stated with a nod, smiling over to her. "I think every mother goes crazy with things like that when their daughter has a child." Which was true, though whenever Yazmine decided to have a child her mother would not be around to help out and that was something that killed her to think about. "You're not piling your crap on anyone. You have a right to talk about it if it's something that is bothering you, so if you want to talk I'm all ears."
