Who: Raya Moore and Kaine Amos
What: Random meeting!
When: Monday, evening
Where: The park
Rating: TBD

Raya wandered through the park, her head sort of lost in the clouds as she did so. She was lost in her thoughts much more often lately, and she blamed that partially on her inability to calm her mind with substances or ways of harming herself, or even sex, all things she'd used before to help herself cope with a mind that seemed to constantly be thinking and never slowing down.

Her eyes caught on a couple playing with their child on the playground and she gave a teeny sigh, rubbing at her stomach before making a face. It was hard not to picture herself, a couple years from now playing with a child of her own. She mentally cursed the council for a moment, they're stupid baby laws. She couldn't change things though, and now that she was pregnant she didn't want to, but still, she had her doubts.

She shrugged her thoughts off to the best of her ability, plopping herself onto a bench in the middle of the park and laying across it. She bit down on her lipring, flicking her bright green hair from her eyes absentmindedly. She wanted company, someone to distract her, someone to maybe pay attention to her- good or bad, really- and take her mind off things for a few minutes. She disliked being alone, and company made her feel better most the time. It was why she was in the park in the first place, looking for people to make it so she wasn't alone.

Kaine had never been like anyone else, even in the 1800's he was complete different. Back in those days, he was quite the bachelor. He was a surgeon and was born to a wealthy family who was high up in society. His father was a renowned surgeon and it was expected that Kaine become one, and he was one for a while before he hated the idea and ended up being a solider, and being a solider happened more then once for him. He hadn't seen his family ever again once he was twenty-five and became an immortal.

"Pleasure to meet you too, Raya. Interesting name you have, by the way. Don't think I've come cross another person with your name." He spoke honestly and he could feel the air slightly getting more thick with the sun slowly moving across the sky. Night time was his game time, but this girl wasn't game. Not to him.

When she complimented his ink, he laughed some and pulled off his glasses without thinking about it, since it was getting dark. He hooked his glasses up to his necklace around his neck which was a chain with his family crest on it, and he had a matching ring aswel. "Took me several years to collect it all.. wasn't cheap either." He smiled a little. "When are you due?" He asked, meaning the baby.

"I'm quite certain no one else has my name, it's short for Rayasha which as my mother told me before she died, she made up. I've gone by Raya since I was young and figured out even with help most people butcher my name when they say it." She said, grinning a bit. She liked her name quite a bit, it was something else about her that was different and she had a bit of pride when it came to it. Plus it was something of her mother, something she'd thought was perfect for her daughter and Raya would never want to dishonor her mother or her memory.

She nodded her head a bit as she listened to him about his tattoos. "I imagine it would have cost quite a bit, tattoos can be expensive. Piercings as well, and I see you've got those too."

At his question about her due date this sweet little smile crossed her face and she rested her hand on her stomach for a moment. "March 12th. Definitely not what I had planned for my life, but I'm happy with it all the same. It's pretty impossible to dislike a baby." She said, nodding her head just a bit.

When she spoke about her Mother, he couldn't help but think of his own. He hadn't seen her, or his five sisters or Father after he turned 25. Even in his youth he was rebellious, so that hadn't changed much over the last hundred years to be honest. But her speaking about her Mother had brought back some memories that he thought he'd surpressed. "My Mom named me from the Bible. Kaine and Able, you know?" He shrugged with a little smile as he held his hands together some.

"Tattoos are never cheap, unless you know the artist. I kind of drift too much to get to know people. I've never really ever stayed in the one place too long. I just came back from Asia where I was living in India for six years. If anyone is going to travel, I recommend going to Asia. Amazing place." He grinned and rubbed over his wrist where his 10x10 tattoo was. He got all his tattoos for a reason and they were addictive.

He looked at her stomach for a moment before looking at her. In his twenties, all he'd wanted was a family of his own but that'd never happened for him. "Sometimes things happen that're out of our control but things always happen for a reason." He spoke with a little smile. Even though he was a little.. well.. nutty, he was actually very level headed a lot of the time and he did love children. "Do you have any names in mind?"

"I never quite understood why some mothers named their children after biblical characters. Some of them are so tragic. I think I'd feel like I was setting my child up for something terrible in their life sometime." She said, thinking about that. "I do like the name though, I always felt like Cain got a jipped by God at first. Abel just seems like he would have been a cocky bastard after God accepted his sacrifice over Cain's." Raya was rambling a bit, but she couldn't help it at all. She always tended to identify with the characters she thought were more misunderstood in stories, or even in life really.

When he talks about traveling she grins as she listens to him. "I'll never get to travel, but Asia always sounded like it was interesting. I really want to go to South America."

Raya nodded a bit. "I definitely believe it. Now that I am pregnant, I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm not sure about names really. I think I like Helena for a little girl. I've still got a lot of time to figure it out though and I really should talk to the baby's father about it before I decide. He's a great friend and deserves to be in on the decision making process about his own kid."

"Maybe thats why she named me after Cain because he's misunderstood. I was their only son. They had five girls before me and they thought they'd never have a boy and when they did, it was when they gave up on having a boy and then I was brought into the world." He smiled a little and laughed before shaking his head. "Maybe they named me after Cain for another reason, but I don't mind. It's unique and not spelt like anyone elses." He shrugged and relaxed back against the park bench as he looked around, seeing families playing together. He didn't mind the ramble. He enjoyed talking to people sometimes.

When she mentioned South America, he nodded with a smile and played with his ring some. "South America is great. Especially in Barcelona. Beautiful place if you can get out in the Sun a lot." He laughed ironically. He had been to Barcelona during Winter to see it better but he had longed to be there during Summer.

"Helena is a nice name. My Grandmother was named Helena but you're right, he should have the option to decide for a name aswel." He agreed and licked over his lips some. "So what are you doing here all alone? It's getting late."

"Well unique names are very good. I don't think my parents really expected me, Mom was getting a bit older and there were a lot of complications while she carried me so she couldn't have anymore even if she did want more. I'll admit, I was utterly spoiled by them and I loved every second of it as a kid." She smiled, thinking about it. She liked to think about the happy times before they'd died.

"I burn right up in too much sun. I guess I'm nowhere near as sensitive as a vampire, but I still burn like crazy. I want to go to Brazil though, my mom's family goes back to there and before that Portugal with my aunt Isa. But I'd really love to see Brazil. Especially for Carnival in Rio. I've read so much about it, and I'd love to see the dancing and the costumes and the music. It just sounds incredible." She had a bit of a wistful smile on her face as she thought about it. She never really minded being stuck in Shadow Falls, she had nothing to leave for, but there were other places that sounded so fun.

"He really should. Though I really really do like Helena a lot." she said with a nod before shrugging, chewing on her lip ring for a moment. "Well, the main goal of being out was so that I wasn't stuck at home alone. I go a little stir crazy cooped up on my own so long, so I like to go where there's people around. Usually I'd be at Shade or Silhouette around this time if I got lonely, but I stopped dancing and I'm trying to avoid the temptation to do anything that would harm the baby, so the park it is."
