Thread: Kosta and Alec
Who: Kosta St. Clair and Alec Tyson.
When: June 18th. Evening.
Where: Alec's house.
What: Sire and child time.
Rating: TBD.

Kosta snapped his notebook shut. The heavy black book was covered in various stakeboard stickers, and patches of white out with doodles over top. He tossed it down on his bed, and dropped the Bic pen he had been writing with on top before he slid off the bed. Kosta slid a bit too quickly and nearly fell over his own feet. His new speed, strength, reflexes - it was all a lot and he tended to be clumsy because of it.

Catching himself against the wall, he pushed upright and then slipped out of his room. Scuffing his feet against the floor as he walked, the teenaged vampire shuffled down the hall and then down the stairs, dressed in a pair of old, patched jeans and a gray t-shirt. A gray headband encircled his head.

He took a detour to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of blood from the fridge - Alec's mention of it had gotten his hunger up. His fangs dropped, and he bit into the bag like it was a mini sip. Funny thing, he had always liked the red ones. Now, not so much.

"Alec?" he called out as he shuffled from the kitchen and into the den.

He nodded. "Thank you," he said. "It means a lot to me." Maybe one day Alec would be able to tell him the circumstances of his own changing. He would never forget about the way she had treated him. She had treated him as a pet of some kind, a science experiment. It would be something Alec would never forgive her for.

He had always thought she was dead, but she wasn't.

"I...I know it's frustrating," he admitted. "But it'll get better fast."

"You're welcome." Kosta didn't feel as though he had done much, but it was what he could do for the time being. He still had a lot to deal with. Still had to come to grips with this whole vampire thing. Blood. Death. Living forever.

"I hope. Cause I don't want to have to avoid my Mom forever. And my friends." Since his friends were all human and it was akward being around them and wanting to have a bite!

He smiled very lightly. There was a lot to deal with but he imagined that his child could do it. "I know," he said very softly. "You'll be able to handle humans better."

He smiled a little more as he thought about it. "I'll talk to your mother as well. I think it'll put her mind at ease a little more." Alec had gone against the rules and regulations of his new residence so he needed to be cautious.

"Good." Kosta was glad for the encouragement. He didn't really believe it, but that could change. Everything seemed worse when it was happening.

"Probably. She probably will have a million questions for you though, so be warned against that." Mothers were like that.

"It's alright. I can handle people well." Alec was very well skilled with people, especially women. He had managed to figure out talking people in circles. He was good at helping them understand things. Yeah, he could handle Kosta's mother at least in a roundabout sort of way. He would do fine. He was prepared.

"It's a mom thing, it'll be ok.'

"You haven't met my Mom," Kosta said, although didn't everyone say that about their mothers? Probably, but then Mothers were a special case.

"Good. I don't know who to be more worried for. Her or you," he said with a little hint of a smile.

Alec smiled a little bit. Family seemed to be a topic that made the vampire happy. He was very close to his own before his father passed away and his mother had been forced to orphan her two children. "I'm sure that I can manage your mother," he said honestly. "I'm pretty decent at speaking to people. I have had experience."

Alec leaned back against the couch, unbelievably tired lately. He was keeping up a busy schedule. This town was too small for it's own good. It was a wonder that more of the humans trapped to the town didn't lose their mind and just off themselves. He could leave and he felt a bit trapped in the tight air and old friends.

"Experience talking to mothers, or mothers of people you've changed?" Kosta asked, with curiosity more than anything. Had Alec changed other people? Many? When? Where? Kosta wondered if he had vampire siblings out there.

"Did you change a lot of people?" He knew Alec was old. Well, old to him, like a century, which was pretty much ancient.

"Oh no, I...I'm just very good with people, especially those of an older generation than the current." Alec was used to the manners of times long before and he was good with people who were used to those mannerisms or similiar from parents, maybe grandparents. It made him laugh to think that he could be someone's grandfather, great-grandfather by now. Of course, at age ninety-three it was highly more likely that he would have been dead if that psychotic bitch hadn't ended him.

But enough about her, she was always on his mind these days.

"I haven't...changed anyone honestly," he said. "I never considered it...because of how I was changed. "

"Well it's no wonder," Kosta said, thinking along the same lines, and giving a soft little noise of amusement. "You're old enough to be my Mom's grandfather or something." Which was weird to think. Alec didn't look much older than he was. And he didn't act like an old man. But he was! Comparatively.

"Oh. Huh. Well, I guess that's good?" That Alec wasn't the type to run around and turn people willy nilly. It did make him feel sort of special.

Alec nodded very seriously. "I hate to admit it, but yes I am." Alec had been around a lot longer than any of the humans in Shadow Falls could hope to be. Normally it didn't bother him but lately he had been thinking about matters of mortality, when reminders of his human life came back to him in an epic and loud form.

"It...might be," he said. "I really regret turning you without your consent. I will tell you that."

Alec did not feel that he was any better than the psychopath who turned him, even though he would never intentionally torture his child. That was the mark of the madwoman.
