the vampire armelle ([info]manysapphires) wrote in [info]inshadowfalls,
She supposed that she shouldn’t be surprised. Seeing Christine here. Where else would she had gone? No matter what, she was sure that vampires-lonely creatures they could be, were drawn to family. Drawn to their sires and their sires’ children. There were connections that, and human or vampire, there needs to be something to hold on to.

But, was Sammy right? What if Christine did try to hurt Isaiah. No. She couldn’t think that way. Christine wasn’t something that needed to be controlled. She was her love, her sister, and nothing would ever changed that. No amount of dead people would change that. Even if Christine was stark raving mad, and she was sure that the girl was, it didn’t change that fact that Armelle loved her.

That night, when she let Christine out of her prison, she wasn’t sure what to expect. What she didn’t expect was her to leave. Ideally, they would have gone to find Isaiah together, explained to him. But, no. Things rarely worked the way people wanted them. She ran her fingers over Christine’s blond locks, and while she was glad to see her, she was also afraid of what this all would mean. The tone of her next word stopped her, and she was frozen as Christine broke her grasp. “What exactly is that supposed to mean?“ Armelle asked, looking at her curiously. “Christine. I love you. I would never hurt you.”

She watched as Christine casually walked further into the room, and the atmosphere, Armelle noticed, was suddenly heavy. Everything, she had learned, was potentially dangerous with Christine. “I…I have not,“ she confessed. With a weak smile, Armelle spoke, “But, we can tell him together. Now that you’re here, everything will be alright. We can all be together again!” Armelle told her, her chest hurting suddenly. Something wasn’t right. But she didn’t know what.
