If Christine had ever loved anyone, it would have been Isaiah and Armelle. They had wanted her, taken her into their world and showed her what life could be like without the restriction of mortality. To speak of love, she wasn't very good at. Ironically, she could manipulate any human into any emotion but to speak of her own emotions? Nearly impossible. She was coy and cautious about who she spoke to but with Isaiah and Armelle, she loved them enough to tell them anything and everything. Her first kill she described to them in excruciating detail, the thrill she had gotten from that first taste. They were everything to her. To have them suddenly turn and cast her off like some used toy was more than her already rattled brain could bear.
It was safe to say that even as a human, Christine wasn't all right upstairs. For the sake of appearances, she could be as sane as anyone. That was trick. When it came to Christine, appearances were deceiving.
But again, it was different with her sire and his lovely Armelle. They saw past the cracks and holes. Her mind was an open book for them to read. Why hide anything from them? They could be trusted. What was love if not completely and devotedly trusting? Perhaps it was not love then that they felt for her. How could someone lock away someone they supposedly loved?
While Christine was grateful that Armelle had come and let her out of her prison in Romania, she was still furious at the woman for not stopping Isaiah. And Isaiah? Well, Christine had plans for him. She'd popped into this place, this Shadow Falls, not to first confront her sire about his decision but to mess with his mind. It was easy to find him but much harder to stay out of sight and smell. She'd purposely planted herself just barely within his sights, just long enough for him to blink and second-guess himself. It wouldn't be long before he knew she was out but until then, she wanted to play.
Meanwhile, she was going to have a nice long chat with Armelle.
She had to wait for Isaiah to leave the house before going in and finding the woman but that also didn't take very long. "Hello, love." Christine purred as she walked into the music room, eyes focused on Armelle.
