[03 Feb 2024|10:22am] super excited to see some familiar holds and eager to see what all the new ones bring 🤙 this washed up parapsychologist and paranormal investigator is ford — he's a zimmerman as well as a secret mcdowell on his dad's side and claims neither. the marriage was a big deal and basically meant they were excommunicado from both families so he and his mom have been far removed pretty much since he was born. he was spoiled in the most nurturing of ways but always taught to work for everything he had and somewhere along the way he realized he really hated that work part so he falls into the habit of just skating by on others. you can take the fortune out of a zimmerman but you can't take the zimmerman out of a zimmerman. he co-founded a ghost busting business with his best friend called ghoulbusters that handles pesky poltergeists and ectoplasm decontaminations etc. that's been around since 2008 (2004 if you were unlucky enough to hire their services from a pu dorm room). they are definitely recruiting but looking to keep it diverse and witches won't be considered since i imagine coven business is something they steer mighty clear from. they also do not deal with demons (willingly, at least) for the most part. there's plenty of room for ghost hunters of all types in peculiar so please someone take up the reins of nighthunts and give us the animal control-esque rivalry we all deserve, thank you 💚 taking all extended family connections, clients, exes of any gender, friends from graymire high, neighbors in dead ridge 23post comment

[03 Feb 2024|01:56pm] sophia barnes hello everyone! i am bringing in sophia as part of the barnes family. her family's part in the coven barn incident was less accidental, more intentional, but they have spent a lot of time casually charming (with words and magic) influential members of the town to keep them from being exiled! totally normal family behavior over the last century right? sophie was born and raised in peculiar, though she did the typical eighteen year old girl thing of "I HATE THIS SMALL TOWN AND EVERYONE IN IT" and peaced out to portland for university. her grandma died right around her graduation, and so she returned to town and now lives in that very cozy haunted house. her barnes family magic is being a medium, though it's only been within the last five years that she's decided to accept that and not be annoyed by seeing dead people everywhere. that particular magic of hers is a bit underdeveloped but she's working on it. the other sort of branch of barnes magic is enchanting - and she is much better at that because it's far more advantageous to her. if you've ever eaten something she's brought to a potluck, guaranteed you've left feeling a bit happier than when you walked in! ✨ magic ✨ she currently co-hosts a cult-hit podcast with her bff dignify called the ghost whispers which is 100% a reference to that mid 2000s tv show starring jennifer love hewitt. they cover paranormal phenomenom and do 'investigative' reporting on reader submitted stories. between patreon subscriptions and sponsors they're doing alright for themselves on that front! 100% they sell their merch in town, sorry everyone. as for lines, i need pretty much everything? i would love to connect with the other coven barn families so we can all discuss ~what actually happened that fateful night~ and how they all might be linked together in modern day. please let me love all of you. 11post comment
