Argos Run...A Battlestar Galactica Based RP

The Cylons were created by Man.
They were created to make life easier on the Twelve Colonies.
And then the day came when the Cylons decided to kill their masters.
After a long and bloody struggle an armistice was declared.
The Cylons left for another world. The humans slowly recovered.
A remote space station was built where Cylon and human could meet and maintain diplomatic relations.
Every year the Colonials send an officer...
Every year the Cylons send no one.
No-one had seen or heard from the Cylons in over forty years...

... until they returned without warning. Developing, growing in its hatred of its own creators, they grew to the point of emulating them to infiltrate their government and take down their defenses. With such complete surprise on the side of the Cylons, it seemed impossible that anyone would survive the Cylon Genocide.


But survive they did, and now, aboard a ragtag band of ships being led by the battlestar Argo, what they believe is the remains of humanity are trying to find a way to cope with the trauma inflicted on them by the Cylons and stay alive.

Leading the fleet is the young commanding officer of the Argo, Evan Yaris. His world, like everyone else’s, has been vaporized, the Colonial Fleet he was about to take his place in as the commanding officer of the Fleet’s newest battlestar, meant to replace Galactica, has been annihilated, and he now has to shoulder the responsibilities of defending what they believe to be the last of their race. His first direction is chosen thanks to thorough planning and preparation prior to the attacks: travelling to the desolate and uninhabitable world of Thera to check on the members of the archaeological team exploring remains of an ancient civilization discovered there a few years prior.

But what next?

Will they decide they need to set out in search of a habitable planet, or will they try and reclaim one of their home planets?

Or will the discovery of ‘tablets’ on Thera, and what they contain give them a different path to choose?

Will the retired Commander, now skipper of a surviving civilian interplanetary liner, upset the line of command, seeing the young commander as ‘easy pickings’ and a chance to finally gain a battlestar command of his own?

Or will the Cylons find them…

Argo's Run is a new RPG set in the Battlestar Galactica universe and we're looking for writers to join in to explore and build this new adventure. This is not currently an AU, it's parallel with the show and who knows what might happen - any meetup with Galactica (assuming they survive, as the final episodes haven't been aired yet) would be off in the future! In the meantime... what we're looking for?

Everything and anyone! But more specifically...

• Pilots, both military and civilian


• Civilians of all walks of life, both survivors from the Colonies and those who were already aboard ships in the fleet


• Mechanics


• Members of the archaeological team on the planet Thera


• Crew of the Argo


• Cylons!

It's a big fleet out there, more than forty thousand individual stories to tell...will you help tell them?

And what's different about us? We have a subsidiary comm for your character to develop their 'history'. The argos_run_b4 comm is where all characters can RP out their lives etc before 'C-Day'.
