After The Moon
Who: Eden & Cathair
Where: Cathair's cottage
When: Early morning

That evening... Eden had taken to the trees once more. She had left a wake of destruction behind her and quite a few dead creatures. She'd played cat and mouse with several monkeys until they had gone into an utter frenzy and she had decided to just flat out eat them. Her beastly form was rather freeing if she had been able to think about it at all but to be honest she hadn't. Between the utter pain she'd felt at first and the wild desire to destroy and kill just because she could, there had been very little ability to think at all.

Some time in the wee hours before sunrise, she had made her way back into town padding softly along. She had picked up on a particular scent and had followed it to a door... Eden had then spent the next hours clawing at it but not trying particularly hard to get in. It was rather like she was trying to purposely scare whatever it was she had followed. When the sun had finally begun to rise, the pain retook her once more and her naked form was thusly curled into a ball at the foot of the door asleep. That was where she stayed not moving a single inch.

Good, he was hoping she'd say that. He'd rather take his chances with her than make her deal with this alone. None of them should be dealing with this alone.

He couldn't very well dry her all haunched over like that. "You're not alone, Eden," he told her. "Now sit up so I can dry you properly. Then I'm putting you to bed." He might not stay the whole time, but he hadn't gotten much restful sleep the night before and he'd be lying if curling up with her in his arms didn't sound like paradise right now.

He was very foolish then because God only knew what she was going to be like when she was well rested. Likely not as pleasant as she was being now...

Her eyes flicked to him and she gave him a rather bland and vaguely annoyed look, "You'd have a difficult time too if you felt like your body had been repeatedly ground up into a powder." Still, she carefully sat up, stretching out her back. Funny how she didn't really remember but was so damned close to being right.

Then he was a fool. He still wasn't leaving her alone.

"Then let me help you, so that I can get you to bed so you can rest," Cathair reminded Eden patiently. He wasn't going to go on about how much like rubbish he'd felt the day before and still did. Because their was no point. She hadn't meant to hurt him and trying to make her feel guilty about it was stupid.

He finished drying her and slipped the tee shirt over her head. "Can you walk or am I carrying you again?" It was a fair question.

No, she hadn't meant to hurt him... And to be perfectly honest, a concussion didn't really compare to having your bones literally grind and shift around repeatedly. But she wasn't going to argue about who was suffering more.

Eden simply let him dry her off then helped slip into the t-shirt, rubbing her face briskly with her hands then running her fingers through her hair like that would help. "Mm... Maybe just help me along," very carefully she stood up and it was rather clear that she was about two seconds from falling over. At least until she settled a hand on Cathair's shoulder.

Well no, he'd be the first to agree with her on that. While he still had a headache and some bruises, he didn't consider himself badly injured. Eden was exhausted beyond her limit. Which was why Cathair was helping her instead of leaving her to do things herself.

He rose and wrapped an arm around her waist, the other ready in front of her in case she stumbled. How weak she was worried him, if she hadn't come back to the village and to his door, who knew what would have happened to her out in the jungle. "We'll take it slowly," he agreed as he started towards the bed. Luckily it wasn't very far.
