Lily shook her head quickly, heart thumping too quickly in her chest. Was it possible to literally be scared to death? And was she about to find out. "No, thank you," Lily replied as she tore her gaze away from that of the child. If she called out, would anyone hear her?
People would be down for breakfast soon though, wouldn't they? Someone was bound to come down and ... let her out. Or the fear would pass enough that she could retreat from the corner she'd wedged herself into. "It ... it doesn't work like that," she said, uncrossing her arms to shield her eyes from the sight of the doors. Why had she thought coming down here was a good idea?
Lily reached with her other hand for her wand, slipping it out and flicking it to close the cabinet door. That, at least, helped a little.
