Remus felt something inside him relax when she volunteered the information that he'd been too hesitant to ask. It was something that had always concerned him and was perhaps even more pressing than his worry that he would somehow manage to physically harm those he loved. He wouldn't wish being a werewolf on anyone -- even with the potion -- and to pass it on to a child was just as bad as turning someone in his mind.
He wondered if that had changed in the future or having a child with someone he loved had just outweighed his fears.
"Thank you," he replied softly, as if she had anything to do with his son not being a werewolf. "I'd always wondered about that. Do... you know if it's a certainty that being a werewolf can't be passed to offspring or it was just chance that he wasn't?"
