Elle scoffed, and rolled her eyes. She really wasn't trying to be unfriendly - she was just poorly socialized. "Of course it has power. People like this, they like to pretend they aren't heartless, so they give you all sorts of the amenities, make like they're trying to make you comfortable and then BAM," she clapped her hands together, "they take you away to the secret lab, put all kinds of wires in your brain and chemicals in your blood and then send you back here like nothing happened."
She paused, and tilted her head to the side, "Yeah okay I'll have a soda," she decided, opening the fridge and rooting through until she found one she liked, glancing over her shoulder at Jaime as she thought about the question. "Not this morning, no. Slept late. Read the note, think this is bull and clearly they don't know who my father is or they wouldn't be pulling this shit with me."
She popped the top on the soda can, sipping thoughtfully. "Unless he... no," she shrugged. "He wouldn't. So you have a special power too?"
It's what she figured, given that was the only reason she knew why a company would abduct people to study them.
