Oh sure, she worked for a company that made a living out of abducting people with interesting abilities that were worth observing, took them away from their families and left them confined to a room that wasn't much bigger than the one she'd woken up in this morning. Sure, they were worse off, because they couldn't leave said room and didn't get a note, but it was fine. So long as it was happening to other people.
She found she didn't much like being on the other side of things.
She had stormed out of the hotel in a childish rage, and though her fingers were sparking with energy, she was trying to keep it contained. It would be what they wanted, whoever had brought her here, for her to explode so they could see just what she was capable of. Then it would be more testing, more... she shuddered at the thought.
She thought she caught sight of movement in one of the stores across the street. Moving towards it in a more cautious way than she would have otherwise when she was free at home, she pushed open the door when she arrived, and stepped into the mall, dropping her guard when she saw the girl.
"Oh," she said, arrogant smirk slipping into place. "I thought you were someone else."
Someone to worry about. Why yes, Elle did judge based solely on appearance.
