"Think my mind was blocking that out, actually," John decided with a light smirk. There were shacks, he knew, but the hotel seemed all right to him. He wondered if somehow the kidnappers were in control of the earthquakes, but he didn't ask; he couldn't tell if it was something that was possible or his mind being slow to realize the stupidness of the thought at ... whatever the hell time it was.
His smirk became a grin at her question and he cocked his head to gaze down at her, brows raising. "Dunno. I feel pretty awake."
It was that fake awake that he knew would go away shortly if he could just relax; he could think of a few things to do to perhaps help them ... relax.
"What about you? We could try to tire each other out," he suggested with a waggle of his brows that he wasn't sure she could see.
