"I know," he said quietly, unsurprised when he felt River pressing against his back. He dropped his hands from the pane of glass to rub his chill fingertips along her arms when they wrapped around him.
He knew that she hadn't meant physically, at least not yet.
His eyes searched the darkness before he glanced over his shoulder to her, his hands squeezing hers when he found them. "What's our plan?" he inquired, a hint of a smile on his lips before he glanced back out the window.
It was nice to know the silvery things were there. That people were keeping them there. That they'd be safe ... at least in theory. At least for now. He also knew that he and River couldn't really do anything this time around, except try to not become casualties. Or ... soulless beings, apparently.
