RP: Fear? Characters: Kyle, River Time/Date: After dark, September 20 Location: Lobby, near a window Warnings/Rating: None Summary: Kyle tries to figure out the "dementor" Status: Complete
He'd read the network, and was pleased that Lily was back and organizing things once more. Others could have, he knew that, but he liked having her around. Something seemed right about her being there for all of them, even though he'd never really interacted with her much beyond hellos and pleasantries at meals.
But Kyle was curious. He was very curious about dementors. He hadn't ever seen one -- and apparently he still wouldn't see one -- but he was curious about them.
He knew from reading that there were wizards around to keep them -- it, just now -- at bay, so he didn't think it was a concern just then.
Kyle moved to one of the big windows in the lobby, wondering if they were going to think to board them up again this time, or if that wasn't a concern. Couldn't they get inside though? Maybe they couldn't. He wasn't familiar with them at all, after all.
Resting his palms on the glass, Kyle peered into the darkness. He saw some silvery creature lope by, and he thought that must be what they were using to keep the dementor away. What would happen, he wondered, when there were more dementors than silvery things? Was it strictly a one-to-one ratio, or could one silver thing keep away multiple dementors?
He wondered if they had enough people to make silvery things to keep them safe ... and what would happen if they didn't.
