"Right, I'm just repeating what they told us," Dave said, a grin on his lips. "They said they messed up and some people are being sent back home.
"Whether or not they expect us to believe that ... well." Dave shrugged elaborately, nearly unbalancing his book. A creative bit of weaving managed to keep him all in balance, and he had a rather proud expression on his face. Minor win though it was, he hadn't dropped anything.
"Dark haired ..." Dave squinted and weaved his head back and forth. "I guess, yeah, it's kind of dark." He paused a beat. "He's crazy. That's the descriptor I'd go with." Sure, he respected the older sorcerer, but that didn't mean he couldn't rib him now and again. Besides, Balthazar had all but admitted to being insane.
"It would be nice, if I had a school. All I have is Balthazar, and he's not exactly the best teacher I could ask for, but hey. Beggars and choosers and however that goes."
