Well, that ... didn't quite go as planned. At the barking, Ambrosius veered from his course at the last second, leaving the white line to mock him still. The two of them wheeled about, heading for a large, yellow dog who had come out to meet them, and Ambrosius wagged his back end (since he had no tail to speak of) so violently that Didymus was nearly unseated.
"I say -- will you -- stop that! We have -- work -- to do!" Didymus cried out, haltingly, as he tried to hang onto the pommel of his saddle with he free paw, lest he be unseated. Ambrosius crouched then, nearly sending him tumbling over the pommel, and let out several sharp barks of his own. Perhaps he'd best let them both get it out of their system. Or perhaps he could turn charging the line into a game?
