RP: CHARGE!
Characters: Sir Didymus and Dug
Time/Date: August 31, afternoon
Location: Outside the Hotel
Warnings/Rating: You might hurt yourself laughing?
Summary: Didy's charging the line
Status: Semi-open, Ongoing
The line had been mocking him. To most, it probably only appeared simply to lie there, not doing much of anything at all, but to Didymus, it may as well have been thumbing its nose. If it had a nose, that was.
If there were a way home to be had, he was certain it had something to do with this white line. The world did not curve at the edges as one approached, the way one would normally have expected one of the Goblin King's illusions to do, but nevertheless, Didymus knew it to be true. He needed to get home. Lady Sarah had had to soldier on for long enough without him.
The caution that he might have to be 'replaced' did not daunt him, even if he could not say the same for Ambrosius. Though, alas, nearly anything daunted his steed. So Didymus merely dug his heels into his mount's sides to spur him on. Ambrosius walked toward the line, tentatively, and stopped once more with a pitiful whimper.
Didymus sighed and urged him on once more. "Do not fail me now, Ambrosius," he warned, to another whimper. Then he took a deep breath, muttered, "For the Lady Sarah," and bared his teeth. He slapped the butt of his lance against Ambrosius's rump, and cried out, "CHARGE!"
