"Children," Lily repeated. "Some ... nearly adult children, but some no where near adulthood. There are a couple of animals, too. A cat, though I'm not certain what, exactly, that's about. And a golden retriever who has a collar modified to let him talk. He's ... well, you'll meet him, too. He's in Jaime's room. He's very friendly and I'm certain he will love you even though he does not know you," Lily said, a little smile touching her lips.
She trusted Balthazar would understand, once he met Dug, why that phrasing amused her.
"I'm sure there will be," she agreed. "You should certainly settle in first, meet some of the others. I ... wouldn't judge them by how they're acting today though. We're all a little strung out, and I don't think anyone's on their best behavior."
