"In the middle of something?" He prompted. What, like a school play? he thought, but opted to hold his tongue. There was no need to scare away his entertainment so early on. He couldn't really deny that everyone had seemed to be pretty decent at keeping themselves occupied.
"Bit of this, bit of that. Looking across the line a lot," he admitted. It wasn't that he hadn't learned his lesson the first time ... he was just looking for a way around it. Given what he'd heard around, not everywhere had acid, so theoretically there were places he could cross that had something he could get past.
Once he found those, he'd be bolting across the line and ... seeing what was on the other side of it.
Chase tried not to grin too much, because then the baiting would be painfully obvious. "Bet you could run across it though, huh? Fast enough that you could get past whatever was triggered before it caught you."
