She had argued back and forth with herself all day, but she finally gave in. She had the swimsuit, and had never had the chance to actually swim, so she was heading to the roof.
When she got up there, the first thing she did, was secured the stairwell door open, and hoped that one of those stupid fire alarms didn't go off because of it. She also had brought her phone, and a change of clothes. She was not going to get fooled this time. She was just going to have a nice swim in the pool, and these people were not going to stop her.
She had already had an annoying day, which was her main reason for wanting to get out to the pool. Her only friend from back home was apparently about a year behind her in the timeline, so he didn't know her. He probably now even thought she was some crazy girl too. That coupled with the fact that she was feeling worse and worse about not being able to track down who killed her parents was really making her feel like crap.
She moved at a blur as she removed the clothes she was wearing over her bikini and claimed a chair with her stuff. Even after discovering that not everyone here had powers, she continued using them, mostly because she was growing to not care about what others thought while she was here. Most everyone had probably seen her use them by now, so who were they going to gang up with to go after her, the vampire? Seemed pretty unlikely, so she figured no point in hiding them anymore.
She approached the water, dipped her toe in it to check the temperature, then dove in and cleared the length of the pool in a split second. She was a bit slower in water than she was on land, but it was still a simple task of moving your legs fast, and that she could do.
