Ever since she had gotten here, Faith had been having a problem. Her goal was simple enough, but she wasn't quite sure. She was supposed to kill a demon. Now that was usually not a problem. She could sense demons. Everywhere in hell? There were demons. Every night they played for demons. The people in the seats were demons. Except they didn't look like demons. They just felt like demons. They seemed like nice people, for what it was worth. Hell was a really weird place. Was she just supposed to go up to one of them and just kill them? Sure she was feeling like they were demons, but this shit got her into trouble a lot. Acting first, thinking later. She didn't want to do that any more. There wasn't anyone to talk to. Even if she had someone who understood, she couldn't tell them what her goal was. They had given this to her on purpose. That's why she hadn't done anything yet. She focused on her job, trying to play the calliope. It was awful. She was awful at it, but she was trying her best. Focusing on not doing her mission. Every night it ticked by, and she hadn't done anything. Soon people were talking about how they were moving on. Her chances were running out. It was now or never. Fuck it. It wouldn't be the first time that she had killed someone. If they turned out not to be a demon, then she would pay the price. As usual. Did they have jail in this place? She didn't know. They were in hell right? None of these people were any good. When the show was over, and people were starting to leave, Faith went out among the people, trying to be polite and smile. She picked one. An over weight guy, who was being quite lecherous upon some other woman. He was making eyes at her. Making comments. She didn't grab a weapon, she just waited for the guy to be alone as he possibly could be. "Hey, dude. You should leave women alone." Before he could say anything, she pushed him up against a wall and snapped his neck. He crumpled down onto the ground, lifeless. It had been easier than she thought. Maybe not a demon then. Great. Just what she fucking wanted. She didn't leave the guy, she waited for someone to come by. Then she'd turn herself in to whoever came by. Fuck this stupid place. |
