[ SPACE FILTER ]
I've never really understood the human fascination with space exploration. I get why people were so enthralled with it before they knew what it was - singing spheres, sky monsters, actual heaven, that sort of thing - and I guess I can see why you might want to slip the surly bonds of an earth so thoroughly populated with shitty, shitty people. The fantasy escapist element is there. But now you know what it is: a whole lot of nothing (well, not nothing, but a whole lot of stuff that's just as good as nothing, seriously, stop barking up this dark matter tree, it's not that interesting) littered sparingly with a few somethings that are far enough away that you'll never get there in one lifetime, anyway. Do you think they're not full of shitty, shitty people? You saw the moon. It was literally empty. And then you wet back, like, a lot of times. What's the deal?
