I've learned to expect very little, truth be told. Humanity always finds a way to disappoint. But perhaps now that a huge swathe of us are going in someone will find a way to do something about it. Probably not without further inciting incident, as is usually the case in these matters, but one can hope they'll be quick and clean about it.
