Who: Jean Grey & Matt Murdock
When: 08/10 - During the Ladybug Apocalypse
Where: Romeo #626
What: Jean told Matt she'd help him get the bugs out of his room....
He was blind. Which was good, because it meant he couldn't see how red Jean turned when she realized how stupid it must have sounded for her to ask him to keep his eyes closed. But after stumbling through some - now awkward - small talk, she went right to work. She placed a large jar that she'd borrowed from the kitchen onto the floor of Matt's room, and tried to focus. She'd never done anything like this before, although back home Xavier had once made her telekinetically sort a bowl of Reese's Pieces by colour into three different glasses, and this was almost the same concept. Or it would be, if candy could move on its own. This was one of the first times that she'd put herself out there to help people since arriving at the facility. With some of the X-men seemingly worried about showing off their abilities and others blatantly displaying their powers, Jean was confused about what she was really meant to do. Whether she should intervene or let others take charge and stay out of the way. Jean felt guilty, a little, about not offering to do more when the storm when some of the other residents were stuck on the beach. She knew that clearing a room of bugs wasn't exactly on the same scale as saving people who were in danger, but for Jean putting herself out there was a good portion of the battle. "I think..." She said finally, bending to put the lid on the jar. "I think, um, that that's all of them?" |
