Who: Victoria Windsor and Michael Abbott
What: Victoria teaching Mikey to bake!
When: After classes| Friday 7 October
Where: Kitchens
Rating: SFW
Status: Incomplete

Victoria was rather excited for her schedule baking lesson with Michael. She had never really taught anyone how to bake, so this would be her first time. Victoria had to admit that she was slightly anxious about the lesson only because she did not want to teach him wrong. She had been baking since a child, it had been a good pastime to keep her mind off of her mum. Victoria's babysitters had always hated the idea of a child baking by herself, but Victoria always had a knack for it. Her favourite thing to bake was probably cake, but today she was going to teach Mikey how to bake cupcakes. This decision had taken Victoria some time to make because she was not sure whether cookies would be the better first baking lesson choice. Eventually after thinking about it for a long week Victoria had come to the opinion that cookies were a boring choice for a first lesson and she did not, in fact, want to bore Michael into not coming back for a second lesson. It was nice for Victoria to have this opportunity.

Victoria was excited to spend time with Michael. She mostly kept to herself and did a lot of studying. She was sure that if she studied very hard then it would be much easier for her to become the head of a ward in St. Mungos. This meant that she did not give a lot of time to her social life. When Michael has shown interest into her baking Victoria had thought it would be a splendid idea for the two of them to have baking lessons together. It would give her the perfect opportunity for a break from studying and she basically adored Mikey. He was sweet and she knew that they would get on well. Victoria knew that Michael was worried about being a bother when she had classes until 4 on Fridays. This was something that he shouldn't be worried about, however, because Victoria thought of baking as a fun hobby and teaching someone would relax her.

After classes on Friday Victoria had made her back to the Slytherin common room where she put her rucksack and back into her trunk. She changed into something more comfortable and walked to the kitchens. She had decided that it would be easier to meet Michael at the kitchens because both of their common rooms were in the dungeons. Victoria carried her very large homemade cookbook with her to the kitchens. She had began to cookbook when she was young and always had pictures to accompany her recipes and when she had arrived at Hogwarts she began to add moving pictures. It was her pride and joy. She was already getting out dishes and measuring spoons when she heard Michael enter the kitchens. She turned around smiling, "Hi! Are you ready to learn how to bake cupcakes?"

Victoria was bound to like having Michael as a student. If he was as attentive as he seemed, then these lessons would go well. Victoria knew that Michael would always be polite even if she was boring him as she thought she might. She decided that she would give Michael the option to choose which baked item they would make at the next lesson. This way perhaps it would keep Michael coming back to the next weeks lesson. She was sure that he would be good at baking; he just looked like a good baker.

Victoria didn't mind too terribly having classes all day. It was the rare breaks in class that kept her motivated. She was afraid that if she had too many free periods that they would be wasted and then be pointless. Victoria filled her schedule and while sad that Muggle Studies couldn't fit, she loved cooking in that class, it did not really do anything for her intended future career. This was part of the reason she began to bake so often on her own, because now that she didn't have this weekly creative outlet she needed to find it elsewhere.

She grinned at Mikey, she knew that Slytherins were intimidating. Victoria hated their reputation for being unpleasant, but she had to admit that Slytherins deserved every word of it. She had been sorted in, she assumed, because of her need for success and the feeling that she would do anything to reach it. Despite this fact, Victoria still felt that Slytherin might have been the wrong place for her. It was true she didn't fit in with most of the girls, and the ones that would speak to her were scared away by the bullies of the house because she was muggleborn. This was the beginning of Victoria's quest to show the rest of the school that she was not a typical Slytherin. "I'm begining to think I couldn't have asked for a better student," she paused and smiled again. "It's really okay, it doesn't matter how much you know. Everybody starts out somewhere. Besides normally boys don't know how to bake. No offence."

Victoria pointed her wand at her cookbook and it opened to vanilla cupcakes. She knew the recipe by heart, but she decided it would be good to have out just in case. "Yes, I decided they would be something fun." She nodded happily. "It's impossible not to love frosting. It's the best part." She looked around and then back to the cookbook just to check. "We need to heat the oven," She pointed her wand to an oven and flicked it. "Then grease the pans so the cucapkes won't stick. And then mix together the dry ingredients." She pointed to the cookbook. "The measurements are in here."
